I just noticed the LTB on the roof. Mean looking tire.
yeah i had the ltbs for a while... they rattled my heep apart.
hhmmmmmmm..
Nice, I'm sure those stock tires will stuff perfectly now!
hells ya... they better
Nice design. That would look mean with some sort of tube/flat fender similar to the popular design on tj's.
I like that. Alot.
I think that's the most I've ever seen a fender trimmed. What's the plan from there?
how do you like it with 28's and 7" of lift
in the process of 14b/d44 swap and 38's.
a stubby front bumper and some sealed beam headlights with new turn signals.
gonna add some tube later
why not save for a front 60?
because im not gonna dump 3-5k on a front axle. 38's is the biggest ill ever go. i just wont drive it like i have a d60 under it and ill be ok. this axle swap is gonna be CHEAP
anyone wanna buy my 8.8 or hp30?
38's are the biggest you will ever go eh?
I said that about 32s
bought the headlight parts today so im gonna screw with that tonight
also got new brake pads, lines for the 14b. about to turn the rotors now.
38's is the biggest ill ever go on the zj... once the zj is beat to hell the drivetrain will swap to buggy
Looks like like some good plans. Looks like it will be a good outcome. What vehicles did you get the axles from?
44 out of a 1980 f350
14b out of a late 70's chevy i believe.
they both have 4.10's and thats what will stay in them for right now.. i will regear later to 4.88 or 5.12, budget just doesnt allow it right now
d44 will get lockright
14b will get welded
14b has disk brake coversion
heres what i came up with for the headlights.
i like it alot.
heres one of the welds on the headlight box
anything bigger than 38s is pushing the practicality of a rig. i dont think there are significant advantages to the extra 3 inches or so 44s would offer...shits so heavy and clumsy at that point. look at what cam and hundreds of others acomplished on 37s... besides hitting shit is part of the fun.
i would like 37's but the 14b is huge so i want nothing smaller then 38's... plus i already have the 38's and wheels.. lol
Damn you went Cbasset on that fender trim.
37s and 38s will teach you a lot as a driver. There are definitely some trails that are possible but become a huge challenge with just 37s, especially on a large rig like a ZJ. But then of course there were certain trails that a non-sticky 37 would just not climb, regardless of how hard I hit them.
just because your jeep is on 32s there is no need to bash those who go bigger
lmao
you should change tht title of your build "project roose"
kinda makes me think you want some cawk in your ass
