I guess I'll start...
No major carnage, some flat tires, bent mounts, skids took abuse all day from everyone, minor scratches and dings, arb lines patched, and I'm sure more.
I think we had 5 rigs make the left side of whale rock, which was cool! Long day but worth the drive!
Great group to wheel with! Nice meeting everyone and hope everyone made it home safe. I made it to work about 2 minutes before 8:00 looking like a ball of dirt, but ready for my 14 hour shift. Yahoo!
Please post some pictures as I left my camera at home, I can't wait to see some shots.
Not much of a trip report; I'll just let people add to it.

Ryan made it first, Sam made it in his CJ, Chris made it in his XJ, Maatt in his ZJ, and Matt from T&T in his XJ. John and I tried it, and John was DAAAAAAAMN close, but just couldn't make it up. I was having no luck and just gave up on it.Originally Posted by OverkillZJ
Here's our pics. Great day on the trail. The least amount of carnage for any OCG trip I've been on. My only thing that went wrong was somehow a lug nut loosened itself all the way off and another one was starting too, right next to each other on the same wheel, kinda odd.
We had 11 rigs in total, 4 SWB's and 7 ZJ/WJ/XJ's. Good mix of mod levels too.
Pam negotiating the first little "chute"
Me coming through the rockpile
Chris and his XJ going over the rockpile
Pam bringing Trixie through
Ryan showing off his flex
John getting in on the flex action
Maatt showing off his new T&T kit
Matt from T&T flexing it up
Ryan making it up Whale Rock
Me going up the center line after giving up on the left line
Trixie coming up the center line
Got a whee-bit high centered here
Pam coming through the Chutes on the back end of the loop

We had fun too. Its such a cool trail. Definately a long day and my kids kept me busier than usual.
I did not make it up the left line either. Well I suppose thats because I took a different line.
I met a couple new people and as always had fun wheeling the rest of you. Always a quality group.
Thanks for having us.
Keith
Was it me or something else that brought on the asswipe drivers today? I thought my Karma was better than that.
I would liked to have seen the truss in person.
Looks like you guys had a pretty good trip.
Does Sam have some sort of new decal on his fenders?
was nice meeting you guys, adn was a fun, if not long, trip! sorry i had to scoot at the end, i had a prior engagement that i was only 90 minutes late to.
had a great time nontheless.
and yes, we had at least 5 folks make it up the 'hard' left side line on whales rock. wouldnt have been, however, once my 'junkyard special' walked up it, the rest of the grocery getters were honor bound to give it a shot.... and thanks to some excellent spotting, most who tried, made it.
this was the best built collection of station wagons ive had the honor of wheeling with.
the way back, i took hwy 9 to 70.. HUGE mistake. came out of loveland tunnels to a sign that said "denver 2hrs10 minutes" took about 90 minutes to get to hwy 6, about 70 minutes longer than it should have taken.
X2 on the good spotting, thanks . And thanks for the electrical tape; it got the job done. (I believe it was Kevins???)
Great pictures Dave/Pam! Nice angles.
Colorado5.9: I'm just down the street and work in Inverness, if you want to stop by and take a peek sometime let me know
It was an excellent day - one that happened to threaten rain at points but held out until the end. Hope you guys with open tops (Dave) made it home without soggy shorts. I did get home after dark but was able to see that all of the dust from the day had been washed off by the hail we encountered on the way home.
It was a pleasure to meet everyone and my son couldn't stop talking about a hand full of you on the way home - honestly I didn't even know he knew as many names as he did.
Pertaining to Whale Rock: Had those of you gotten a second chance after a good line was found I think all of you would have walked right up it and the numbers would have been much higher than half a dozen.
Matt
It was a great day! Got caught in a big rain/hail storm on the way home. I kept thinking, I wonder how wet Dave is getting. Did you get caught in that Dave?
We did get poured on in between Fairplay and Jefferson. It was coming down pretty hard. I actually stay pretty dry in there when it's raining and I'm moving a decent speed. Occassionaly the wind will kick it just right where I'll get some mist coming in from the back, but it wasn't too bad yesterday.
The thing I'm really glad about is Saturday night I was in the garage cleaning out the ZJ from Moab and was tempted to put the toob doors on. Damn am I glad I left the full doors on!
Great pics.

Hey All,
This was a pretty sweet day of wheeling I had a great time. THis is by far one of the most chill groups I have ever gone wheeling with, always patient and ready to help if you need it.
As far as carnage I think I took the most 2 flat tires and 1 spare!!! God damn Procomp X-Terrains suck!!! Thanks to Sean @ "Jazz it Up" silver YJ w/ flames let me borrow his spare to get home.
Puma-
As far as my Track-Bar bracket. Yeah I was able to get it fixed at Moab 4x4 Outfiters who did an awesome job. I talked to clayton who got Rock Krawler to send me another bracket for free. I think I will keep it as a trail spare if anyone ever needs one but its very weak looking just like my other one.
I will be posting some more pics & Vids as soon as I can so check back in a day or 2
thank you all for a good time!
Ryan
Time to carry 3 spares (like a Baja racer) or get new tires. I was surprised by your bad tire luck.Originally Posted by grandwheeler

Glad to hear you made it back Ryan. I can't wait to see the pics either.
Matt
Sorry I missed this one, looks like tons of fun. hopefully I can get past these transmission problems...
anyway Ryan, you ought to tell clayton you want one of his new brackets. He makes his own custom bracket now becuase that rockkrawler one was such a piece of shit. My dad has it on his 5.9 WAAAAY beefier. I will try to get a pic sometime.

Dave,
I only have a photobucket account so I think the vids might be a problem.
I was going to try and post them up tonight. Does anyone have a good website for hosting videos?
Dave, if I have problems getting them hosted can I send them to you via E-mail and maybe you can put them up?
-Ryan
Just so ya know. Photobucket hosts vids now. I'm not sure how much on the free accounts though.
Nice pics, Dave! Thanks for letting me tag along with all the grocery getters I had a good time and thanks to everyone who spotted me up the lines...you all are an awesome bunch!
You can host vids on www.savefile.com (I think up to 15-20mb). It's not perfect, but it's free and easy.
