I know. It has been a long time now that I'm in So Cal. Sorry. Sounds like you're doing just fine though. Now that you're rig has the big axles you gotta make it out to GSW next year.Originally Posted by AprilzWarrior

Dirk, we'll be up late Saturday night. I think I'm open Sunday day and Monday day but the wife is still asleep so don't hold me to it until I ask her, you know how that goes.Originally Posted by Cue-Ball
Edit: Only open Sunday and even at that I'm taxi service for my daughter. Something local would fit.

I think the customer that you'll get is probably somebody wanting to upgrade their stock axles. In many cases you can sell your upgraded axle(s) for $xxx plus you take your buyer's stock axle(s) in exchange. At least that's the way I did it when I upgraded with somebody that had the axles I wanted to buy. You'll at least come out ahead and you'll be rid of the axles that you know are not your first choice and still have a driveable rig while you decide/save for what you really want.Originally Posted by Cue-Ball
It didn't even get sctratched on the way to CA!
Yeah front 60's are a big ticket item.
Someone mentioned the plug welds, those are for the case spreader. You don't fill those up with weld or you can't use a case spreader.
It's cool to see some of the old guys on here. How time flies. It was eight years ago I started posting on the Grand Cherokee forum. Time flies!
I'd love to biuld a ZJ again but I can't even finish my buggy I started 2 years ago. Funny I started selling things to support my hobby and haven't even had a Jeep to wheel in two years. I still get out on runs mostly riding shot gun and spotting.

you knwo i agree with matt. TYhat iron cross doesn't give THAT much support considering the length of that bracket. 42's are a VERY large tire and with the wheel tired sieways and the gas on you'd be suprized what you can break. hell i broke a 1" allow rode between the jam nut and the tube insert on my upper arm in a bad situation. i knwo you will be running two uppers and that will make a huge difrence but if your goign to build it. i'd do it right the first time.
Your first post on this forum---about freakin time!Originally Posted by Clayton

Wow, that's pimp. Sounds like you need to take some vaca time and finish it up. What are you going to run for wheels?
Cool, that's what I am running now for wheels, but I dont like the way the hubs stick out soo far. Are you going to change the backspacing at all?
I spent a lot of time and money to make the H1 wheels work and now kinda wished it hadn't.
Yeah... Im going to recenter them myself at 3"BS
Im also running Ballistic Fab Rock Rings welded to the H1s...
Tomorrow Im having a local shop install my gears and locker. I actually was able to cram that D60 into the back of the ZJ...
whaaaa!? youre having a SHOP install your gears and lockers for you!? haha, sorry, just had to, never thought Id hear that outta AW's mouth, hahaOriginally Posted by AprilzWarrior
