I will be heading out for Moab for GSW on Thursday at noon if anyone is interested in a caravan around that time post up.
Keith
Yea I land at DIA at 10am so noon is about the earliest I can leave. I want to actually make it to the meet and greet this year.
Did you get the rest of your long arms?
Assuming I get my DW fixed I'll be leaving around 10am I hope.
Arlo, I'll be leaving Boulder the same time. Maybe you, me, dave could meet up somewhere like the Downieville exit? We should be there around the same time I think?
I'll probably be heading out a little afternoon on Thursday
You'd be wise to make sure you're in FRONT of my diesel before Vail Pass... I think I'm going to smoke out every living thing for about a 5 mile radius just keeping it above 55.Originally Posted by BigDaveZJ
I'll be in my red ZJ and Bob will be in his black one. If we see you, we'll just fall in line. But, if we are further west, hopefully we'll just see you there.

I plan on leaving on Thursday, not quite sure what time yet though. Hopefully I'll be able to ride the main train with Dave & Co. (now doesn't that have a nice ring to it ), but if not I'd like to tag along with someone else.
We could leave an hour earlier if Pam didn't have to spend so much timeOriginally Posted by BigDaveZJ
-----ing her t---. The funny part is that she said she didn't even remember me making that comment.
I am a "newbie" to this forum and to the GSW, which I look forward to being a part of this year. I will be leaving the Denver area sometime Thursday morning so I perhaps will see some of you on the road. I will not be hard to miss--a red 2005 WK that is shown in this photo album from the Easter Jeep Safari--

It looks like the AEV rig and mine will be the only "token" WKs at the event! Maybe I should have fixed up my WJ for the trip--at least I would not feel like the oddball! Oh well--anxious to met to all and join in the fun.
I will be leaving around noon also Keith.Originally Posted by Mtn WJ
Sounds good to me...know which exit number it is by any chance?Originally Posted by XLSLC
Ummmm nope, but its after Idaho Springs and the exit before the rte.40 one. There's a Starbucks, Burger King, and a bigass "FUEL" sign right next to the highway.Originally Posted by ArloGuthroJeep

What route do you take to get to I70? Perhaps we can meet in the Highway at some point.
I will be going through Evergreen.Originally Posted by Mtn WJ
As far as I know Dave from AEV is driving his WK again this year. Look forward to seeing yours on the trail.Originally Posted by Colo.kid
Keith, I plan on hitting the road around 11:30AM, and meeting up with my brother at the El Rancho exit near Evergreen 12-12:30. We'll be dropping off his car and picking up my father-in-law in Grand Junction, but it would be great if we could caravan most or even all of the way. Let me know where you want to meet, if that time still works for you.Originally Posted by Mtn WJ
If by some act of "WTF just happened now" means that my buggy can't be there.... I'm stealing my dads WK and wheeling it in Moab.Originally Posted by Colo.kid
Hopefully I'll be there in the ZJuggy! (for the WK's sake.)
Matt I am sure the WKs can wheel and are pretty stout but your dad would be crazy to loan you his. J/K
Curt and Scamper and others - I land at DIA at 10 am and will already have my Jeep packed with the kids waiting for me when I get home. I expect to be leaving HR C470 and Broadway by 12:30 with the intention on being in Moab before 6pm. I am happy to meet any of you along the way on 70 if you like. It would be great to caravan with you all. Post up your details and lets see how this works. You V8 guys will have to try and keep up with my 4.0 but I will keep things slow for your sake.
Keith
I too am trying to make the meet-n-greet, and unfortunately leaving that late really is going to be pushing it for me. You'll probably be going past El Rancho around 1PM if you hit the road right at 12:30. I figure it's going to take about 4 hours from Denver to Junction, and another two from there to Moab, with an hour or so added in for the quick stop in Junction to pick up Tom, fueling up, and +/- potty break
You'll probably pass me though, I generally don't do over 70-ish through the mountains. You can check out the shiny new tire carrier as you pass me!
I always keep it on channel 14, give a shout out if you do go by.
EDIT: I will have it on CB channel 10 since that's the official channel (thanks for the heads up, Dave!)
