Anyone here make some sort of quarter panel protection? Here's what I had in mind, sorry it is made in Paint, didn't have any other software to use.

And this why I need it:

Edit: the first pic is not so good, I'll try to redo it so you understand what my thoughts were.

Yeah, I went to Morris Mountain this weekend. That place is nice, just too slippery in the wet conditions for a 5500 pound Jeep - got up close and personal with a tree.

95 ZJ, that's what I was looking for, what material did you use and could the tube be attached to the panel?

I've seen some made out of that tough ass plastic and riveted in, but the best way to do it is like its pictured about.. run some tube from your rear bumper to your rock slider to really provide some impact resistance.

Bringing up this older post as I am moving forward on this llittle project. I banged out most of the dent from inside the cargo area. Here is the template I made, the other side will have a cutout for the gas door:

Panels have since been cut out of 14 ga steel plate- now contemplating if that is thick enough, may double up the panels to provide a little more protection. Next up is to bend and weld tube,

That's what the plan is- I'll add more as my wheeling style changes and I need more protection. I will eventually tie it into a steel rear bumper and the sliders.

Ever heard of a rivit gun?

Hope you threw some paint on the backside of that before you put it to the body.

Looks good so far. I got back into bending mode tonight so just holler whenever you get a chance and we'll figure out when we want to get the tube added..

This is just the mockup stage, will be fully prepped and painted before permanent mounting.

Cam, I will call you- I'm not sure when I can get by right now.
