I have a 2001 Grand Cherokee Limited
When i drive sometimes it will like kinda lurch forward on me kinda like it loses all power around 50-55 and sometimes i will hear like a bang! Also it seems like i have no power with the pedal, like i have to floor it to go anywhere almost NOT TO THAT EXTREME, but its almost there.
Its kind of hard to explain whats going on as you can see, but it rides real rough too.... like its wobbling all over the place and sometimes i hear a boom type noise, and it will lurch forward.. ( TO SUM IT UP AS BEST AS I CAN)
ANY IDEA???

clogged up cat mabey. if it feel like it is the engine being bogged down or something, but the trans shifts nice thru the gears...prolly the cat.
if it feels like it is slipping out of gear and ya hear bangin and sloppy shifiting probably a toasted transmission. prolly the cat though, might possibly be fuel/ignition but you did not give the best description

Ya lol i know its super hard to describe, i mean it seems like the tranny is shifting fine, and everything, but something will bang every now and then.
COULD IT BE THE DIFFY'S. CUZ AN OIL CHANGE COMPANY DID PUT THE WRONG FLUIDS IN THERE. THEY PUT THE FLUIDS FOR THE NON QUADRA DRIVE GRAND CHEROKEE!

yeah that would definatelly cause the banging sounds random and on turns/etc
it would not bog down the engine though

It will clunk someties like you cant really hear it but you can feel it, also i have no power really, it seems like i lost ALOT of power like when i press the pedal it seems like it struggles its not like instant power, and its wining like a mother... Also around 45-55 MPH it will lurch forward...prolly just the O/D... or is it?

I really only feel the vibration when i press the gas...
the wining goes and comes also, sometims i wont hear it sometimes i will

This vibration started ever since i had the new brakes put on... i never felt it before.... they did pads and rotors..
i let somebody else do it and paid outta my ass cuz its just too damn cold and i dont have a garage
