I'm definately keepin my eye on the hydraulic ebrake. One thing we don't have here in California is inspections, and I like the idea!

Yep, i'll be doing the el dorado calipers. Little more expensive, but simple to work with.

These chevy callipers did cost me almost €140 for the 2 without the pads.
The where pretty easy to get here locally. The eldorado's are harder to get and most likely twice or even more expensive. So very happy with my brake parts, only thing else I need for the brakes in the back are the lines.

I'll get the jam nut locally, no need to get that shipped accross the pond.

Since it is getting harder and harder to get "big" tires due to European laws,
    got myself a set of 37*12.5R16.5 ex-military.
Will be just fine for build, permit and street use.

    compared to a standard tire.

The were kind off flatend because of storage, so put some wood in it.

Time to get this on the move again,
cad drawings for H1 rim adjustment are out.

Those are the goodyear military tires that were found on hummers and stuff! Those are what Andy had planned for his build before we found out the ones he got were way dryrotted!

Its cool though. I have tried to absolutely build every piece possible on my current rig instead of buying it. It is obvoiusly cheaper and much more rewarding IMO to have a rig built with parts you have made yourself.

Now that I have a set off tires, time to start with the rims.
First off cleaned, cleared and rearanged my workspace.

Here the outer part of a H1 12 bolt rim.
Since the BS is 7" on a 8.25" rim, the center needs to be reset.
So that the hub won't stick out, besides that the rim won't fit the sterling hub.
Made a tool for my plasma to make a nice circular cut.

    The result

Not all the way even, moved to fast with the plasma.
    Also grinded the paint off.

    et voila

It will take some grinding and sanding but not to bad afterall.
