Cool, I guess i thought that only 93-94 had EGR. So they stopped the EGR in 96?
Anyway, thanks for all the great info!!!!!
Get some vids going of how it sounds and how she drives.

96+ without egr
I took the 5.9 to a shop today to have it looked at on a Scope, turns out that the Bosch +4s SUCK, and that was my "slight miss" so I threw it Auto Light Double Platinums, and its smooth through acceleration.
I also passed smog with a GUTTED CAT.
LOL
Now you tell me after I just installed them the night before I took it over to Scott. Oh well. Story of my life.Originally Posted by AprilzWarrior

Sweet Jerod, been following you progress since we were last up there and saw the build up start. Shayna and I Can't wait to see it all done later today Bud! See yo about 4
ever heard of parallel circuits?Originally Posted by Puma297
Anyway, I run them in my stroker and so far they're looking good. The lifetime warranty is what sold me.

well its good to know it worked out for you. maybe i'll run some el-cheapos in mine and see how it runs. i still have yet to hook up a timing light haha, i think i'll do that when i get home saturday.
did you do anything to add extra fuel?

i also did the swap in my 94. As far as fuel goes, I just picked up a mopar performance computer and am running that. It has been running fine (as far as I can tell) since I did the swap either last year or the year before... cant remember when.. lol
I did the swap in my 95 and added the Mopar computer as well. It pulls pretty strongly and the plugs aren't showing any sign of being run lean. The only hiccup was a little overheating on the freeway up long hills which was solved by a Hayden HD fan clutch.
I went and ordered up an ECU from my local dealer, hopefully it'll be the answer to my problems.
I've been having some problems with the computer stalling the engine, but my setup is a 5 speed. If you engine brake to a stop, and clutch in, the engine will stall. So I'm hoping that the Mopar ECU might be able to catch the engine from stalling a lil better.
Could it be the IAC motor?
So, how is everything now with a few weeks on the motor? I need to do this soon. I have a 5.2 w/ 263,000 mi. on it. But I want aluminum heads....
i want a 5.9. fuuck!
The Mopar ECU didn't do anything noticeable to fix the idle problem, the truck wanted to idle at around 200rpm, and would bring itself to a stall, we adjusted the idle adjustment screw to bump up the idle, and that seems to work fine. The truck would still stall out sometime, so we sprayed a ton of carb cleaner to clean the IAC, and that seems to have fixed things.
