    Lookin' good dude!

I never knew there were rednecks in CA. I live in TN and don't even have cows in my yard.

Yea Jerod is truly a country boy in the truest sense of the word. I would be hard pressed to use him and redneck in the same sentence.

That being said, working until the cows came home was funny as hell.

your just lucky you missed out on the Evil Emu that he has on the ranch. That damn thing would chase your ass till Jerod pulled out a 2''x4'' ...then it would take off like the road runner..heading for the hills

What color are you going to paint the block to distinguish this as a redneck dream machine? chebby orange, lime green, blue, racing red, or that hot pink color?

So... Summit Screwed me over with the Valve Locks... sent the wrong ones so the motor did not go in this weekend, but I did make some progress. Everything is all high temp gloss black.

Wrong Locks in pic. Also got my 5.9 Badge and Mopar Double Roller Chain Set, & Comp Cams Retainers.

Chain installed and mostly painted. I could not find ANY Mopar/Chrysler Blue, only Ford Blue UGH. So Magnum Black it is.

Valve Cover and Timing Cover all painted.

Flow Kooler installed... and timing cover/balancer. Bling Bling.

I also got the accessory bracket all painted high temp gloss black.
Feeling like this is taking forever... I got screwed over by Cometic Gaskets, they just "never shipped" the damn gaskets, so Im running all over trying to get all the gaskets I want now.

your 5.2 valve locks should have worked. the 4.0 and the 5.9 valve locks are even the same.

    Im going from a 5.2 to a 5.9.

BUT there is no way in hell that the 5.2 lock will work. Reason being that Im running the mopar performance springs which are larger than stock, so I needed larger retainers. Hence needing larger locks... I tried the stock ones and they slip right through the retainers.

    New pics...

Sent back all the Comp Retainers and Locks.. all wrong shit (Thanks SUMMIT for screwing with me) and thanks KOLAK for getting me the right info and some parts !

Here we go... this was all today... I finish tomorrow...

Coolant EVERYWHERE no matter how hard a try to get it all out.

    Old 5.2

The 5.2 oil pan on the 5.9... the 5.9 had an IFS pan on it for clearance issues.

Dropping it in... over view shot I guess.

Bolted to the tranz and new motor mounts installed...

    Tomorrow I finish it up.

    Thanks
    AW
