So I picked up my font 60 this weekend. Its out of a 85-91 F350 with the short driver tube. Do I have to cut the cast spring pad back to get a bracket in?
Mike
for some reason i still dont think it will fit ??? it will fit on the tube but the spring pad will not be far enough to the centre to make the axle sit centred under the rig , im guessing you will have to shorten the long side tube
i think that sounds rite
anyone else know about this ???????
I just swapped one in from a 1990 F350 and it works fine, I just ground the drivers side perch down to round it off. I fabbed the coil mount and LCA mount to fit. Mounted the shocks to the LCA.
You will have to weld to the cast if you dont grind it all the way off, it is tight but doable.
just kick your arms out on the axle side.
its not the arms its the spring buckets that im worried about??, i am pretty sure it will work now though
hey you got a set for cheap or even free????
coils will work fine for now till i get the axles/doubler built , then coilovers and other fancy shit that costs way too much cash , fuck its only a mall crawler, hahahahah
