Yea as we were tightening up the belt we realized it was cockeyed (sp) so we addressed it right then.

    Well SHIT,

on my way from Sunnyvale to Napa today after a meeting I get up to the Walnut Creek area and the water pump seizes up on me.

I tell you I have the WORST luck of anyone I know.

So I have it towed to the office and will head down the hill tomorrow to change it out (I guess this gives me an excuse to try out the new air compressor we got for the office). Still a PITFA!!

The ONLY good part is that I have a commercial account at the local Kragens so I atleast get a discount.

So I will be changing the heater hoses also (for some reason I did not change those with the stroker install). Again a PITA, more coolant, more distilled water, more watter wetter, just a PITA.

Anyway, next Friday I head back out to the tras shop to change the fluid and check everything out and to get the trans tweaked a little to work better with the stroker, can't wait.

I am also still waiting on the 62mm TB and spacer to arrive, am hoping they will make it before Friday but I doubt that even if they show up I will have the time to install them, on top of everything else we are moving next Sat. from Lake Berryessa down into town (Napa), I can't wait I will have a 5 min. drive to work in the morning , and my wife could actually walk to the school where she teaches. So just with what I save in gas each month I should be able to finish the long arms up (as if my wife would let that happen) besides the house payment is going to be more than the gas savings.

Still planning to hold the 2nd Annual Berryessa BBQ so you local guys be sure to keep June 24th open.

Okay new pump is in and everything is running just fine.

Remind me next time to just listen to my gut. What would have taken an extra 5 mins. with the engine on the cherry picker turned into a 3 hour ordeal give or take, not to mention the extra expense of the coolant and all that.

But anyway it is up and running. Next Friday I head to the trans shop to get the trans tweaked with the engine, and to replace the rear pinion seal and rear TC output seal.

I tell you it is always SOMETHING.

Then on Sat. I move from Lake Berryessa down to Napa, I can not wait to have a 5-7 min. drive to work (currently 30-40mins).

Okay, got the new 62mm throttle body and spacer instaqlled last night.

Pretty easy only thing broken was a cheap t-20 1/4" drive socket, pissed me off, luckily I had a t-20 screwdriver I was able to use (since some of the enders were already off).

    Here are a few pix.

So how does it run with the larger throttle body/spacer? I like the color, goes VERY well with the color of the block/head. JK

A little to early to tell how it runs I have been running stuff between the new house and the old house.

And bite me about the color.

Now I need to deal with a new radiator I think.

No problem at all. I am at the office this today (sunday) so am checking in online. The PC is working at the house but not the internet connectivity yet, gonna work on that tonight.

Yea had to pull the radiator to be able to get the fan off the pump it was on pretty tight and had to beat it off.

I did not replace the radiator, I simply had to pull it to get the fan off. I did not take any pix as I did the work in the parking lot of the office and the camera was home packed away in one of a million boxes.

Although I am thinking I do need to replace the radiator soon as it starts running a little warm in the afternoons when going up hills and what not. Am starting to look around for a nice 3-core unit.

Ditch the TB spacer. It will run better. Only thing the spacer does is move the TB mount vertical.

Seems to run okay with it in there, Dino claims that the spacer helps, it was pretty cheap so not a big worry.

Well just got my latest oil report back and it was not BAD, but it was not GOOD either.

Bearing wear continues to read fairly high in your engine and it's now joined by excess fuel
dilution and a trace of anti-freeze. All wear can be considered improved since this oil was run longer
than the first, though these metals are still higher than we think they should be for an oil run only 1,863
total miles. The fuel and anti-freeze could both be causing some of the higher wear and this is
something to keep a close eye on. If you have noticed any loss of coolant, then it's a safe bet a
problem exists. Check back in 1,000 miles on this oil to monitor these findings.
I did however just order a Tuarus e-fan off ebay a couple days ago, so that should be in mid next week. Then I will need to order up a 3-core radiator and the Delta Controls module to control the fan. That will atleast take care of the cooling.

I am also going to add in an Air Fuel ratio gauge so I can see if it is running rich or lean, the oil in the fuel suggest rich, but the pinging at WOT suggest lean, so before I do anything I need to see what is really going on.

So if anyone knows of a tripple A pillar pod for sale let me know, I have a dual now but need a tripple for the A/F gauge.

And no I don't have the $$ for an Apexi, or a wide band, wich I did though.

arn't you still breaking in your stroker and that might explin the higher "bearing wear" numbers?

and honesty I have a Autometer Ultra-Lite A/F meter and I wouldn't bother since it doesn't say much... if you want I can get you a video of mine in action if you want to see what it will do...
BUT it does have lots of pretty flashing lights that flicker around and change colors

oh and if you saw my after dyno sheet on my intake writeup I am running MUCH leaner (no pinging though) than I was before my 99+ fuel system setup and my a/f gauge is still pegged on rich under WOT

I think Ptowntsi had a triple a while back and I dunno if he sold it yet... I'm making a triple for my brothers XJ by grafting on a old pod from a wrecked buddies civic and fiberglassing it to the XJ pillar.

lemme know and I'll make you a vid of my a/f gauge
