Yep. They asked if you wanted your vent done like mine. I said I bet you do, but you better ask!

These guys are really awesome! I asked Todd if they had anymore decals. There out, but when they get more, my rig will be sporting one of their badges.

I might add here, Donnie talked me out of turning up the pressures on mine (more) at this time. He said I was already running substantially higher pressures, and that it would steal pressure from the cooling circuits. He took it for a test drive before the service work and said, "Jerry, it's still pulling the front end up on the 1-2 shift. It really doesn't need anymore." So I relented. Cooling on mine will be more important, since I will be towing a camp trailer. And he agreed that once my stroker and lift (tires) are in, we could still bump it up a little more "if it really needs it".

    Again, these guys are awesome.

    Jerry

Yea I will adjust that as I see fit when i take it down in a few weeks.

The stroker will be in by the time I take it back to get checked and tuned, so we may bump up the pressure at that time. We will just have to see.

Yes I like it. They said it does not shift as firm as yours in the 1-2 shift, remember that I have the 249 so the full time four wheel drive is working against me there.

When I go back in a few weeks (after the stroker) then we will tweak it to shift firmer, if needed.

No word on the original leak, spent most of the day swapping in the new one, no time to deal with the old one.

Okay, here are some pix of the trans install and parts.

Some of the pix are a little blurry and it is hard to tell how much bigger the V8 parts are in the pix, but they are considerably bigger.

The V8 stuff is on the left and the stock stuff on the right, the pix are in no particular order.

The torque converter is an awesome piece it has a full billet cover and a larger clutch the factory one is a stamped steel piece with the mounting hole tabs welded on. This one uses a much bigger bearing and better clutches for better lock up.

Here are some more specs on it:
    billet cover
hardened center pump hub and turbine spines
larger clutch for t/c lock up
clutch made of carbon fiber / kevlar
    heavier springs for the clutch
    fully rollerized bearings (no bushings)

Stay tuned for the stroker install on April 8th!!!!!!

Just ordered my header, I went with the new Edelbrock one, was a little cheaper than the Banks but honestly when I saw them at Truckfest they looked almost the same, except the Edelbrock has a heat treatment where the Banks doesn't.

James over at Jeepers & Creepers hooked me up.

As to be expected with my Jeep the engine swap did not go completely as planned.

We got the stocker out but noticed an oil leak in the stroker so we dropped the pan and found a bad main bearing. Since no one carried the main bearings we have to order some up so we will hit it again next weekend.

Here are some pix of the progress.
