MAJOR PROJECT UPDATE!!!!
i did some major work to the xj today
1) removed mud and dirt that was pcked in the rear drums
2) rotated the tires
3) oil change with some delvac 1 15w/40
i am hardcore now
ps i plan on changing some burnt out turn signal lights tommorow so i dont get pulled over by the po-lice
Pics of the tire rotation pls.
sorry, only have pics of the light bulb change. i went with the "long life" bulbs and synthetic blinker fluid
some pics from today. i replaced the leaking SS with an OMD SD40, i bought from dirk about 6 months ago
also pics of the 35's on 15x8 aluminum wheels. the mud kings will be replaced with 36" irok's or BFG MT's, have not decided yet.
major project update:
replaced leaking procomp steering stabilzer with OME SS a couple weeks ago (bling bling)
replaced cracked tj fog light with a new one (i ran into a little 6" diameter tree on the trail, lolz)
suprisingly the yukon ujoints are holding up pretty good. Just lubed them yesterday, and 2 seals are starting to leak a little. The yukon joints dont have a replacable bearing, just an alloy cross that is coated with a low friction coating and lubed with a copper blend grease (like antiseize)
one of the UCA bushings on top of the D30 is trashed and just flopping around in there, lolz. PITA to replacee
p.s. Mud Kings with white letters out on bling rummz > *.*
the other day I was driving this thing down the road and my JKS QD upper bolt flew out somewhere. Had to replace the upper bolt that connects the link to the track bar with a grade 8 bolt and lock washer
It is now back on the road
Still have the "Mud Kings" they are actually pretty decent tires on and offroad. Apparently they are made by BFG.
new rumz and tires chief
35" BFG's MT KM (not mud queens)
15x8 soft 8's
crappy pic
NICE! I like it but I want better pics damnit!
better pic
Much better
what i have been up to:
92 XJ 35's hacked fenders
still got the 98 also
iron scropion bumper & 9.5XP winch are on. It was weleded up by a local guy in my club for his old XJ, he also put a stinger up front. I opted to keep the obnoxious stinger.
The frame tie in which is also tied back to the stock style tow hook brackets. I will eventually install the "long" brackets
Stiffeners below winch
