Yea I know its early but who's shootin to go?
At this point I'm working towards being there. Got sliders/rock rails now, THANKS Rock Road Outfitters! And the wife has a new '01 WJ as her DD so I have more freedom to improve the ZJ. We'll see what life and the Jeep gods have in store. -Todd
You should be really happy with those! I got my sliders from them in the 01 raffle (via a trade with Trango) and have tortured them over and over during the last 3 years and they're the one thing that's held up that long on my Jeep!!!Originally Posted by PassRunnerZJ
Gonna try and make it down next year (05) if I get the Jeep finished. When is it? Gotta start bookin' holidays.

I will be there. Might actually run a couple trails this time and hang out with everyone too.....lol.
If my junk isn't broken, I might also run a couple! Got some baja'n in tonight! Lot's of fun when you don't have rear shocks! :lol:Originally Posted by Alaska ZJ

When is it :?:
At least I know there won't be any babies holding me back this year.
Of course, there is the first birthday on the 8th. So anyday except that day, please...........................................

i will be there this year. i havn;t made it out to ANY GS's. but i gotta start to see the faces behind the trucks. i'm looking forward to meeting you all.
Jeep should be dialed in by then. If i can get someone to watch my girls, I'll be there. And, figure out how to get a tow rig.
Tommy
How modded out is your GC? I was hoping to get some kind of CA carvan going... I'd rather drive there in a group than alone
I am not sure if my Jeep will be ready to make the trip or not, but perhaps if there are some other Ca. folks going I could grab a ride in the bitch seat.
If I don't make it out this year with my Jeep I will be out in 06 with my Jeep ready to beat the hell out of it.
Kraqa, would love to meet up with you also after all the times we have talked. I too want to put faces with the Jeeps.
I'm in. I just want to see the friggin' line on 'rocker knocker.' I know the Zebra could make it if it just had a driver!!!
John
Dirk, you've got your 8.8 and your hp 30 right? Whats left to do?
Chase,
Yes I have the 8.8 and HP30 the 8.8 is pretty much ready to bolt in, but the HP30 is just a bare housing, I still need to send it out to get acid stripped, then paint it with POR-15, then install gears and all that, then I need to build up the 1-ton steering, shorten the track bar (over axle), purchase and install Clayton's kit, order springs, brake lines, limit straps, rebuild 242 TC, ect, ect, ect....
This is turning out to be one of the longest builds ever huh? I guess it is right at about 6-8 months right now.
Just trying to do it right one time, who knows I am now thinking of regearing everything to 4.88 and going with 35's or 36's, and maybe even bitting the bullet and going with an Atlas II.
Who knows, I am going to get with the accountant first part of next year and put together a real budget for this thing and get a little more aggressive with it.
But hey if you go I will ride along with you.

You have a great driver, just need the magic line.Originally Posted by Zebra
I was a little bummed this year, the 8 rigs in our group only got to spend 10 minutes on rocker knocker

Ahhh, sounds like it's getting to be that time again -- and I don't mean Christmas!
I'm in... I can't wait.
seriously considering making the drive from the east part of NC. After seeing Matt's video it really looked like something i want to do. Alls I have left to do to "get ready" is the 8.8 w/ 4.56's and the HD steering. I'm ready to see what Moab has to offer.
i'm going ot need to know the exact dates so i can start to take time off work. i need to book vacation early.
tommy i am interested to see how yours works. ours are very similart setups. would be nice to compar the difrence in CO's and regular coils.
