Subject pretty much sums it up...

If its in the outbox, does that mean I've sent it and it just hasn't been received yet?

Just wonderin, I sent PeakZJ a PM about some gears.... Then I noticed my message was in the "out" box and not the "sent" box.

Didn't know if I screwed something up, and that was why it was in there. ops:

    Thanks

OK... Good enough.. I just didn't want to keep bombing somebody's PM box.

But now that I've got a professional reccommendation to send it again....

    Thanks fellas!

The board PM system works just like MS Outlook. Items are briefly stored in your outbox until delivered to the recipient, and then placed in your sent box. For some reason, your PM wasn't delivered immediately. i've had it happen to me on other boards including the one I run before. Don't know what causes it, but whatever.

    From the phpBB manual:

    4.3.3: The Outbox
When you send a PM, the message goes to your Outbox. It remains in the Outbox until the recipient visits his/her Inbox, at which point it is moved from your Outbox to their Inbox. While the message remains in your Outbox you may edit or delete your post if you like. The message remains in your control until it is received.
