A group over on ILJ is planning a camping/wheeling trip to HC and OCG in a couple weeks. Head out there Friday after work, camp/hotel Friday night, HC Saturday, camp/hotel Saturday night, then OCG on Sunday before we head home. I've got my camping spot picked out already just south of Granite. Anybody else in?

Ahh, I get it now. Holy Cross and OCG are about 45 minutes to an hour apart from each other, but there is significant trailer parking at both locations. Both trails are in and out or loop style trails so no hwy driving would be required. You thinkin about headin out here?

I'm looking into it. I've always wanted to do Holy Cross.

I have a full week off in september so I'm not sure how I'd pull it. Where is holy cross? I may to drive all night on the way there and back....

    Cody,
It's just south of Vail, kinda near GSW 01. I'd say 3.5ish hours from the turnoff for Moab on 70?

hmm, well thats not too bad. If I can get off work and leave by 10 or 11, I could make it by 4 or 5 a.m.. Just in time to catch a couple winks.

    Cody,
FYI too, OCG is right next to the new Carnage Canyon in Buena Vista. The trailheads share the same parking lot. I haven't seen the trail in person, just pics, but it looks pretty sweet.

Well, I have the weekend off, but I don't think I have the money to make the trip.

Sorry, thanks for the info and I hope you guys have a blast.

That sucks Cody! Here I was hurrying to get my junk fixed so we could do Carnage! Chalupa should have functioning steering tomorrow. Just need some seals for the p/s hoses. Hell, I'm hoping to even have a bumper built by then to house my winch!

Well, if you guys want to put together a pool and pay for my gas, I'm down for carnage!

Honestly, it'd cost me 150 bucks in gas, plus expenses and with a 9 day vacation 2 weeks after--I don't think I can spare that much change.

cody, save up the pennies for our fall break, 1st weekend in oct. I'll finally be 21 and I got 37's on now, and hopefully a cage by then, I think I'm just gonna buy the EOR cage and have SOMETHING instead of nothing, and modify it from there to make a better than something cage. what says you?
