sweet progress!
looks good. Gawd i hate that interior colour. lol.
Got the box done with exception of the small latch. My spool gun is no replacement for a TIG welder but I am very pleased with how my first large scale aluminum project turned out.

Replaced the front upper control arms with some 7075 aluminum ones. Saved 2.635 pounds. Fits in in with my goal that some projects I take on should have a net weight loss.

Got some tube work close to done.

I am having some post cognitive dissonance with the out side rear vie mirror that you can see in the last photo.

Solar panel mount.

More info on the solar panel. What is it going to power?
I am just using it to charge the battery while out on the trail. I am learning that cycling a battery is even worse than I thought. I have gone through two yellow tops with the rig in storage. Just trying to be better on battery maintenance.

I assume you mean charging the battery while NOT out on the trail??
And any Optima I've bought in the last 10 years has been absolute crap.
And I might take your email address out of your signature unless you want Svetlana to email you again!
that's a cool idea.
I might have to steal it for the Brodozer

Hadn't been on here in a long while. Glad to see some old projects rolling again!
I can't believe you STILL have that thing. My ahi tuna ZJ ended up in Nothern Minnesota, rolled, and living in someone's back yard under a tarp with 320,000 miles on the original 5.2L. Had 2 5.9's...sold both to the same kid, he totaled the 8" long armed 5.9 a month later, but he's still driving the stock DD 5.9. I bought DCCapen's old lifted '93 4.0L SE base model rig on labor day weekend '14, towed it to MN, stripped it, rebuilt it back to a stock 5.9 Limited clone with all the 5.9 parts I accumulated, gave it to my GF. Broke up with GF, she kept the ZJ, and now I am Jeepless.
