Should be clear to the top by then.
Who wants to go?
I have too much to do to mine, I don't think I'll make it. I have leaking valve covers and I am now doing injectors, lifters and valve stem seals. Maybe rockers and springs as well.
Side note, do you need OLD 33X10.50 15 rollers 5 on 5.5 for emissions?
For emissions I have been taking mine to the Sheridan station. They don’t put it on the rollers. They just scan it.
We're camping that weekend, but our land is much closer to Wheeler than our house is, so we might take Pam's JK up. Still a LOT of snow up high though.
I'll most likely make it up
I might be in too, I discovered a slight water pump leak last week so will need to carve time to fix that first. So hopefully I will be there.
Cool!
Looks like i'm heading up tonight to camp and the reservoir. Any idea what time you guys will be showing up tomorrow?
Tom and I are settling on a time to meet. I will let you know what we decide. What rig are you going to be in?
Toyota, We'll be in the bus at the trail head so I'm sure you wont miss us
Meeting at at The Fort at 8:30 so ~2 hours to the trail head, depending on traffic.
How was Wheeler Lake?
I am now up and running. New water pump as of the weekend, fixed my bumpstop issue and ready for the rest of the summer.
Keith, maybe you and I can hook up and run it in a few weekends. I think I have my running issue fixed--I replaced one pin and re-soldered every connection in the ECU and it seems not to stall anymore. Still need to get it to Air Care for the smog test, but want to take it out on a long ride first to prove it works before I wait in line for the test. Still haven't tried out the new tires.
It was awesome, the way up was great other than busy, hailed on the way down and a buggy had a tire de-bead on an unpassable section with no spare, compressor, jack or tools. that was fun to deal with. it was clear to the top though.
Nice pics Ben!
looks like a good trip. I definately want to run wheeler soon.
I think I have all the bugs out now on my Jeep. In the last month or two I put in a new fuel pump (again), crank sensor, cam sensor and water pump. Pisses me off because these are all things I put in new around the time I did the crate motor install in January of 2018. F'n auto part store quality control these days is for shit. The crank sensor just failed, the cam sensor magnet adhesive broke loose, water pump front bearing was wobbly and the fuel pump seemed intermittently working and the fuel level sensor stopped working.
So rest of the summer ahead of me with trails to catch up on.
Glad you got the Jeep sorted out, but damn that does sound like a bunch of poor quality parts.
Where does one go these days? Rock Auto, Summit Racing...?
Well I don't suggest OReilly IYKWIM But frankly they all seem the same anymore. Cant tell the difference from one to another.
I have had good luck with Summit, Corey B likes Rock Auto. For nit noid stuff I go to Amazon, but if its any kind of labor intensive or critical part I have been going to auto parts stores. So I think Rock Auto for me. But hopefully I do not need anything for awhile.
Nice pics.
Does Rock ship to Colorado again? They stopped for taxing issues. I go to advance auto first, but recently O'Reilly has had a few parts in stock that would have taken days to get from the others.

My son and I did a last minute run to Slaughterhouse on Sunday. We left at 2pm. He wanted to test out a motorcycle and I wanted to do another Jeep Shakedown after water pump and a bump stop fix. I also wanted to try our concept of using a hitch carrier for the Bike. I made a bracket that allows me to invert the carrier upright off the back of my Jeep so I can run a trail and carry it along while Kyle rides the bike. Worked pretty good in my opinion.
