We are looking to go out to Moab Oct. 25 - 28 (Tricia does not have school on Friday or Monday so we can go for longer than 2 days this year in the fall). I know Dave wants to go out Columbus Day weekend to save vacation but Jeffco schools do not have off for Columbus Day and the Nov. dates that Tom posted up would leave us with just the weekend again so not optimal for us (plus Nov. was really cold last yr).
Let us know if you are interested in going out the dates we are looking at
Looks like we're going to have a good group out there. I think we've got the following:
Jim & Bridget (maybe the dub, maybe Big Red?)
Dave & Pam (both ZJ and JK)
Tom
Richie
Ted
John
Tyler
New (to us) axles and new (to us) steering components being delivered next week. Big Red should definitely be back on its wheels by October. If that is the case then the Dub will take a rest this time since it really has no business being on 2 of the 3 trails we will be running
Definitely a great group shaping up for this trip
Ill plan on attending if i can get off work. Ill take the toyota if the wj isnt ready
A nice group. It will be fun!
Where are people planning on staying? Ill likely stay at the KOA cause Canyonlands doesn't seem to host RV's over 35'
We are staying at the Redstone also
Canyonlands (next to Redstone) for Ted and I.
Who’s planning on wheeling on Friday? Good chance I’ll drive out late Thursday
We're leaving Denver between 2 and 3 on Thursday, wheeling Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Not sure what trails we're planning on running what day. I had wanted to run Spike on Saturday, but I think Tyler might be joining us on Sunday and had wanted to do it then. We'll see. I think we've got Pickle/3D/Mashed Potatoes on the list as well.
I’m also heading out Thursday and planning on wheeling Friday, Saturday, Sunday and maybe a quick one Monday when heading home. Spike for sure!
We will be leaving Denver the evening of Thursday (so we will be in Moab really late as usual). I had planned to wheel on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - Monday probably out since we will be trailering the Jeep
I had hoped to also run Klondike Bluffs one day while we are out there too
Not sure how many takers you'll get for Klondike Bluffs. It's a neat trail, but I think it's a bit easier than what most of us are going to be looking to do. We might be able to tie it in to Pickle/3D since they're all up north, but that could make for a long day.
First question, anyone have a seat available? Second, Ted or John will you shoot me a text? I lost both of your numbers in a phone reset. I may be able to come out LATE Thursday and I need to be home Sunday afternoon.
I've got a seat available, but have not reserved the Tuff Shed.
Not sure anyone is coming back on Sunday though. Although that could be a fun drive in the A5!

OMG the tough shed! Sweet, I'll be sure to not make a left and we'll be fine! I am taking 128 for sure!
Just wanted to get an idea of where everyone will be staying since this is coming up soon
I already know
Karlins - Redstone
Dave & Pam - Redstone
Ted - Canyonlands
Strom - Canyonlands
Tyler - Canyonlands
Ken - Canyonlands
Rich & Christine - Redstone?
Tom - Comfort Suites
Ben - KOA?
Is everyone but Tyler going to be getting in Thursday night and staying through Monday morning? Friday is probably not the day for an early start, and I wouldn't mind being off the trail early on Sunday to get everything loaded up the drive home.
Love to stop by maybe one day but at this point for the first time in 13 years we don’t have a running Jeep...
Hopefully this winter will be a good time to get the one fixed and the other done
Ill be at the KOA for sure.
looks like well be boondocking somewhere Thursday night and rolling into moab eraly friday. so a later start would be great
I have a middle school band concert I need to attend on Thursday, so a very late arrival in Moab or early Friday is more likely. Late start is helpful for me. Also I need to be home by 1pm Sunday, so I am out early Sunday.
sounds good to me
