So Jeep Jamboree is going on Friday and Saturday as well...... not sure how big of an event it is but I think it would be best if we avoid them like the plague. Here is their trail schedule.

They are running the Pickle on Friday and Spike on Saturday. Our same schedule. Hopefully we are staggered in our start times.

I'm working on figuring out when they're starting Spike. They leave for Pickle at 8:30 which will be before us on Friday I'm sure.

They're leaving from the Moab Valley Inn at 8. So we need to be ahead of them.

Weather in Moab looks outstanding. High 60's each day.

How late do we want to get started on Friday? 9:30 work for everyone?

If we're going to do Spike on Saturday, we need to be on our way to the trailhead by 7:30 to get ahead of the JJUSA group and do what we can to get off the trail before dark. It will get COLD once the sun goes down. Low's around freezing, so dress accordingly and bring extra layers.

Sounds good to me and the weather will be awesome!

Just need to get there with the snow expected Wednesday night.

I am worried about travel time over the passes with this weather coming in (hoping the roads will not be in too bad a shape once we get out of Denver - Shooting for 5:30 to 6)

How long is 3D and Pickle? Might need a little more sleep after 2 really late nights in one week (was about 1 this morning before Jim and I got bed after finishing the locker)

The passes should be fine. The snow is supposed to stop by Thursday AM.

Pickle is only a mile or so long, but has 2 pretty substantial obstacles and a couple mild obstacles. 3D is all pretty easy, but on the higher side mileage wise. If you guys want to sleep in I think most of us will probably head out and run a trail in the morning and then maybe we can meet up for an afternoon run?
