with my expanding family i needed a reliable comfortable overlanding vehicle and as luck would have it i picked up a mint 03 overland with 145k on it
my donor parts are from my 85 toy
95 LT1 nv4500 atlas 4 spd 60/14bolt
i ran the lt1 for years and have tons of parts for it so instead of buying adapters to get my atlas to bolt to the 4.7 and make a weaker driveline i decided to swap it in
im using a clayton long arm kit and cut out flares

motor is from a 95 f body
motor mounts bolt into factory location
i dont have a pic of the tranny in from the inside but it comes up under the small storage area below the hvac controls. the tower is pretty high on the nv4500 but hoping it will work out.

can we have some pictures? that sounds pretty awesome and like quite the build!
im guessing your motor is in a similar spot as mine since my nv4500 also come through the dash
got the pics to work but have no idea why the second set are rotated.... do you have a pic of your setup inside

im glad i went with the "frame stiffeners" as the PO had figured out where to jack to lift the entire side of the jeep at a single point which along with his multiple attempts slightly crushed the bottom of the folded metal unibody frame rail. also the rear mount on the clayton 4 link needs a better mounting point imo. i think once i get the rear driveshaft in i might fab a small cross member connecting the two sides at that mount. i already added a small addition to the back of each rear mount.
Awesome start to a build! I know when I bought the skid plate from Clayton for my zj, it came with a support you weld between the rear framerails. Not sure if it’s the same for a WJ.
awesome!
have made a bit of progress. going to reuse my old bump stops. the old factory coils un compressed turned out to be what my lift coils will be compressed

swapped out my old trusted super joints for some spicer lifetimes
rear 14 bolt with its truss
had to get it out so i could do the brakes on my dodge
