Has anyone used these guys? www.spadanoenterprises.com
They have cut out rocker kits for both WJ's and ZJ's. Seem a lot cleaner than fab-ing my own from tube steel. I also like the b-pillar tie in solution they came up with.
I'm thinking about buying a set for both my WJ and ZJ with out the tube option. Then cut the tubes off my bolt-on sliders and weld them on these.
Looks like a well designed kit. I made my own, and notched it to fit the B pillar and welded the b-pillar to the slider. It felt like it stiffened up the body quite a bit, which is what I wanted. Also welded the sliders to the top, notched the cover plate to fit over the tube. It took a bit longer to do it that way, but it's plenty strong. I did mine about 9 years ago.
They're mighty proud of those . . .
But it does look quite intriguing. Definitely keep us updated if you get these Ted. Also curious how they would work with Clayton's mounts.
Also, with their ZJ and WJ products, could be someone worth hitting up as a sponsor for GSW 2018.
I noticed that the WJ kit does NOT go full length to the front wheel well. The ZJ kit does.
The leading edge of the WJ's rocker takes a beating, full length would provide better protection.
I wonder why he doesn't take it all the way to the front on the WJ...
I know the $350 seems rich (without the tubes), but I figure there is $150 in raw material and shipping in there. So if you can cut your fab time down by a day it might be worth it.
You loose part of the WJ fender attachment, but who cares.

I would be very interested to see how the WJ ones work out for you. I am also looking for rocker protection but wanted something stronger than just bolt on. This seems like a good option. Also, in the instructions it says that they ship the material a little long so you can cut it to the desired length. I wonder if the one in that picture had just been cut a little too short.

For the ZJ I ending up going at it on my own, http://mallcrawlin.com/forum/showthr...tting-goodness
I also picked up some 2x4 for the WJ, but I decided to tackle the ZJ first before cutting up my daily driver.
