We took a 3 night camping trip to Turquoise lake, out side of Leadville, CO. The 5.7L Hemi had plenty of power to tow the little expo-trailer up the passes. Below are some pic's of the camp set up with the new RTT and my homemade awning made from home depot parts (made mostly from conduit and conduit fittings, write-up coming soon). The RTT with a solid platform and foam mattress was a nice upgrade to the ground tents of the past. The annex is big enough to fit the kids' cots plus the dog's bed and still had room to change in. The overall setup of the RTT wasn't quite as smooth as I'd like but I'm sure it will get easier with experience. Note the use of a step stool to reach zippers/poles and getting the annex attached/detached to the main tent was tricky.
When tents are mounted that high I really do like the way that overhang works out. You should find it goes easier after you deploy it and pack it up a few times too. I've thought about getting an annex for mine, but not sure it would work with how low to the ground it is.
Pics aren't loading for me...
Because Jeep.
No pics here either...and I really just wanted to see what the fuck an XK is. Imma guess a Commander since it has a 5.7?
Yeah, XK = Commander. Not sure why pics don't work. I'll look into it once I'm at a real computer. I host my pic on Google, maybe they are having a change of policy like photo bucket.
If your using Google be sure to set the folder or each picture to public for sharing or else they can not be seen.
So The photos should be working now. I had set up a new shared album, but I guess it wasn't configured correctly. I had previously set up a shared album back when Google was using Picasa which still works, the new Google Photos not so much.
Nope still not
I can see the top one only, but I saw all of them yesterday.
Working now.....looks like a good time.
Nice camping setup.
Nice setup. It looks cozy!
