Hey, I'm getting around to swapping my front axle on my '02 4.0/242 equipped WJ. I can hear clicking from the front driveshaft, and I don't want another CV type. I currently have the u-joint on the front diff and the CV on the T-Case side. Can anyone point me to an interchangeable yoke for the WJ's 242? I've gather that the double cardan shaft from the V8 95ish ZJs will work, however I've not found solid information as to the correct transfer case yoke to make the swap.

I'm cheap, which is why I'm not doing a good aftermarket option- this is just to support the BB and the 245/75/16s. If the Jeep gets more serious, it'll get a entirely different set of axles, transmission and power I don't see the point of spending good money on stronger parts- I don't need them now and they'll be of no use later.

If you have a rezeppa type joint at the t-case end you can swap a 32 spline yoke without issue. One source is the junk yard, pull a front yoke from a ZJ with a 249. Also Iron Rock sells the yoke too:

FYI, this is the same yoke that is used on many SYE kits, and the front output an many New Process transfer cases, found in Chevy's and Dodges too. So you don't have to limit yourself to a ZJ 249 per se.
