I ripped the pass side upper control arm bracket clean off the axle while climbing rose garden hill, steve nantz owner of Moab 4x4 Outpost hooked me up big time, burned it back on, added a reinforcing plate, adjusted caster, and adjusted my swaybar axle tabs (all under 45 minutes to get me back on the trail!

I pulled into the Redstone Inn (Moab) after my x-country trek with a nagging noise. I first noticed it in Grand Junction as I stopped for fuel. I couldn't track it down. The mystery noise finally revealed itself on the return trip home in Ohio. I woke Friday morning to find a big green puddle under the heep in the motel parking lot. The water pump bearing was shot. I hit the autozone in St. Clairsville, Ohio and picked up a new pump and coolant, said a prayer, and hit I-70 east for the remaining 371 miles. I limped it home with a loud ‘whirring’ noise coming from under the hood.


and btw, I never realized how much I love the smell of green grass. I also have a new found affection for humidity.
