When Red Rocket moved up north I needed to find a new source. Fire Safety Services at 362 S Navajo St, Denver, CO 80223 inspected my tank for $60 and then charged $15 for 15 lbs. Nice guys and convenient for me.

I started using liquor stores and homebrew shops after Red Comet moved. Brew Hut was out of CO2 to refill my tank last time, and it's due for a re-cert here in a few months so they just swapped it out and I got another 3 or 4 years before a re-cert.

I checcked into those places, but the cost for a refill was quite a bit more than a fire extinguisher company. If I wanted to
pay those prices, I could just go to Performance 4x4. But, an exhange is certainly much cheaper than paying for inspection.

Why would you pay to re-cert? I just swap my 10# aluminum tank for another (full) one. No additional charge at General Air off Zuni and 8th. 1105 Zuni St, Denver, CO 80204

If you have one of the fancy PowerTank units I wouldn't want to swap it out.

I bought my painted blue 15# Power Tank when I won a 30% off raffle at GSW. Because of the size and color (I presume) tank exchange is not an option. I did initially go to General Air, but they don't have on-site inspection. I'm pretty happy with $1/lb C02.

My once-nice blue tank is pretty scuffed up, I would much prefer an unfinished tank due to all the abuse these things get.
