Its been a couple years Ive owned the jeep so heres a basic rundown of what the rig is at now..
It started as my daily driver, I had sold my 4 door JK which was never going to be what I wanted it to and so I just had to get rid of it. So I picked up a 2004 really clean 04 rocky mountain with 91k miles. 4.0, 242, bland. I then ended up getting a smoking deal on a honda accord to drive around for work so thats when I started building the jeep. I set a goal for moab in 2016 and actually made it! Heres what I have done to it in somewhat chronological order.
- DIY Flatland front bumper weld kit, factory painted and welded by me
- Warn 8k winch
- 2 sets of led pods up front
- Warn 55w fog light back up lights
- 35" BFG A/T KO2
- AEV 17" Savegre wheels painted black, 1.5" wheel spacers
- Rouch Country Long arms
- 6" Clayton springs, 5100 12" bilsteins
- Addco 1" rear sway
- 242HD swap
- Rockhard 4x4 rear bumper carrier
- Home made by me rocksliders and painted factory
- Trimmed
- CB
- Kicker door speakers and 10" Type R subwoofer, alpine head unit
- D44a swap - aussie locker, MVC truss
- Ironman aluminum tie rod and drag link
- Custom made headlights by Rick Noriega - HI/LO projector, halo ring, lifetime led phantom cube lights
- Custom junction box for the accessories
- Gas tank raise
As far as the mods go thats about it so far. Its my weekend driver so it still my street rig because I dont like driving my honda everyday.
Looking good man!
So FYI, no jeep Grand Cherokee's had a NP 231 in 1999 or 1997.
If you are talking about a regular Cherokee, then yes they would interchange. Parts after 1995 should interchange.
