90% sure that I blew my head gasket at GSW. What else should I do while diving in there? Already planning on the intake plenum, h2o pump, bypass (choad) hose, radiator. My NOx was a little high on the last emissions test, so it's been suggested to look at the EGR system. With everything out of the way, would be it worth to put a new timing chain on it while I'm in there?
Didn't you have a donor Jeep you were going to move all of your parts to that had a good motor?
A good coolant flush not just a drain/refill! And it could be time for the turbo While your at it!
Funny you should mention this. The WJ needs a new head gasket and I am researching the same question. Are you having the heads rebuilt? The 4.7 heads like to drop valve seats so seems prudent to have them done.
