I have searched and cannot find this issue being discussed anywhere. I am installing a lock right (part# 2311-LR) into my ZJ's D35 (with a carrier from a 90 XJ). Everything fits until I go to put in the 2nd C-clip. The clip is twice the thickness of the clearance available to seat it. Looks like the pinion side spider gear sits to far inward (maybe a combo of both spiders). Can't seem to shake the problem down. Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure the back of the axle flange isn't hanging up on the brake hardware. I had a similar issue recently and the head of the lug nut was hitting a spring on the brake backing plate and wouldn't go in far enough.

I figured this out....the year of carrier was the issue. Swapped the '90 for a '97 and it went together no issue. Lock-right worst flawlessly.
