I had previously avoided adding a winch for the following reasons; extra weight, reduced air flow to radiator, bling, reduced approach angle, gets you in trouble due to false confidence, etc.
But... I've been hitting a few trails lately that would be otherwise impossible without a winch, or someone else to winch you. So, I picked up a winch with a synthetic line on the cheap on CL. Now I had to update my bumper to accept the winch.
Bumper I had built previously
Blank canvas. You can see the pen marks to where I was considering cutting the cross member to tuck it in. In the end didn't think it was worth it.
I used a universal winch cradle from Harbor Freight. It came pre-drilled and ready for the fairlead.
Cut the cradle down to fit between the "frame" brackets.
Added some tow points and did a fit check.
Took the "wings" off the old bumper and cut them a bit to reuse.
Well done! Getting ready for Pritchett!
Lookin good!

Nice! I thought you were going to add a cross bar. Is that still the plan?
No plans for a hoop for the lights any more. The single row LED lights worked out perfect down low, although they do stick out past the edge slightly. We'll see how they do and if I need a redesign. They were only $15 for the pair on Amazon so not a big deal if I lose one. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...A3H7GPL9U124TQ
Over all goal of not restricting the airflow is met. Approach angle definitely too a hit.
I like the way you reused the outer ends with the new design. They fit the build just right.
