Seems like every other forum out there has this thread, figured we might as well too.
The knuckles on my 30 had nasty grooves in them from the brake pads, so I filled them in with the welder and then ground them back to smooth. Managed to grind a groove in my thumb too. Also pulled my steering box, going to try putting the PSC box back on. My pitman arm also has a hairline crack in it so I started reaming out the new one. That was about all I could get done before football started.
I like this idea.
Today was slow, I just made the bracket to connect my throttle cable to the throttle body.
I re-welded my exhaust after having to replace the bent y pipe. Thanks dubj. Also wired a winch controller plug to the dash.

Tyler, those are some seriously beefy bolts! I hope it or the CB mike hanger don't fall off in this lifetime!
I looked at my ZJ in the garage and decided I really need to get going on rebuilding the steering. I just have a couple more things to buy then the wrenching can start. That's really the only thing on the list that needs to be done before 'wheeling starts.
Played in the snow; found some ice:

Pulled the ZJ into the garage to start working on the winch bumper. Tyler came over for a bit to provide moral support and a few design ideas. In the end I think it will look similar to the flatlands design, but I will try to re-use as much of the old bumper as possible. Also I don't plan on cutting the front cross-member any more, just not enough room to gain with the AC condenser and other stuff in the way. Man I need to do something about that clear coat.
i started to fit my hydraulic ram on the front axle and got all the measurements for my tierod's and drag link.
Drove it to the liquor store. Drove it home too.
Maybe I should do a how-to on that
Well today, like most days, it sits parked at home. I did use it recently to winch a buddys truck out of a ditch though.
I have a 98 5.9, with the heat issue.
I pulled the blower motor and no debri on top at all. Pulled the resistor and opened it up. Nothing abnormal in there. Also dropped the little motor for the trap door and all operated normal. Both lines going into the heater core are hot to the touch. What's next????? Gotta do some more digging.
Blend door. The one on my 5.9 caused the same issue a bit ago. I checked same as you as well as flushed the core, come to find out my blend was broke. (the pin was) found a 30 dollar kit and spent a few hours fixing it and works good as new. There's actually a diagnostic code to find the problem. Hold down A/C and recirculation and turn control knob counterclockwise One click. Then choose the value you want to inspect and press A/C again and it'll give you a code. Let me see if I can find my notes on this. It's really more simple than it sounds.

I painted my roof "cage" rattle can black. 🕷
Replaced my clock spring. Horn works again and air bag light off. More cage work.
Began and will hopefully soon be finishing my 6.5" rear lift and garage fab 4 link

have you ran numbers on that setup? I'm 4 linking very soon and planned on using a rear crossmember but like your setup better.
I didn't use 4link calc but i did a flex test and theres a little bit of rear steer at full droop. Im running a custom double cardan rear DS and the pinion angle is pretty much straight with the DS threw the whole cycle.
Im sure my anti squat is trash but whatever...
My links are ~40" from with heims on both ends so I can flex way more than my tires allow and I can't max out the 14" travel bilstein shocks I have.
Im pretty happy with the setup considering I built the axle from bare tubes and made my own frame mounts. It could have tuned out way worse.
Think I finally have my gears replaced in my D30 after blowing them up at GSW last summer. Might add a couple more thou to pinion depth to really nail the pattern, but it's pretty damn close as it sits. It's only been torn apart since November!
Chasing down a P0308 code on the WJ. Tried swapping the plugs/coil with cylinder 7 to see if the code comes back. Been losing the slightest amount of coolant so I hope this isn't an early sign of head gasket failure.
The jeep is sitting on its own weight. That makes me happy.
Drove the ZJ further on Saturday than it's been driven since GSW last year, made it all the way around the block! Gears are done, cracked pitman arm is gone, new trackbar is in, trying another steering box, didn't do too bad.
Dave, did you have a Waggy box on before? If you did, did you put in another one?
Started it, drove it to work, and considering how little I've done that in the last 4 years, I'm kinda happy. Recently replaced front drive shaft. Cleaned it up. I've gone through and tightened everything, checked bushings etc. Basic maintenance that's been lacking. Now I'm starting to work on little things before I wheel it.
I rotated my tires and did an inspection of the undercarriage. Found out that the rear pinion seal is leaking, the rear main appears to be leaking slightly, and possibly the trans pan gasket as well. I need to clean it all up and see where the fluids are coming from.
