Mini trip report: Spring Creek, CO

Tyler, John, Danny (in the YJ) and I wheeled Spring Creek on Saturday. Weather was awesome.

Tyler's WJ decided that a working transmission was too much to ask of it. I had a a Johnny Joint come apart and we had to scratch our heads to figure what to use to get the snap ring back in. Ended up using a bottle jack, a large boulder, socket and a large washer. Wish I had a pic... JJ tool is in my future.

It seems that much of the trail had been tamed down by rock stacking. Still a lot of fun.

Hmm, I thought the general trend wsa that it was getting harder due to erosion, I guess thats changing though.

I think the last time I ran Spring Creek there was enough dirt on the bottom of the wall to cover Tyler's whole front end in that pic so certainly a lot of erosion. I know rock stacking has always been a problem in the rock garden too.

Yeah, that's where the most of the stacking was. I was able to take the left most line on the wall. Reminded me of some of the climbs in moab - but with a lot less traction.
