We all want to go bigger, but hearing you say that it was nice when it was my height gets me thnking of keeping it there. I really would like to stuff 33s under tho....
Right now Im debating on what to do with my carpet in the front. The passenger floor is always wet and really throwing a stench. I may do what I did with my yj and bedline the floor and get rugged or quadratec floor mats.
Do you guys recommend a 7" long arm or would a 4.5 be fun with 35s?
All depends on how much you want to cut. I'm at 4.5 with 35s and wouldn't go higher but it takes some massaging.

Do you have adjustable rear control arms? I ask this because the iro 4.5 lift has pics of the install and it's really close to the front of the rear wells. How's the flex?
I want to do a low cog build on 35s. What do you all think I should run lift wise?
On a $300 Jeep? 4 1/2" of lift and a sawzall would work great.
Sweet. Thanks. Now I gotta save my pennies. Iro lift and 35s it is. Also I plan on an 8.8, good choice?
I've run my setup for close to 10 years now, Clayton's arms, 4.5" RE coils, aussie locked 8.8 and an open HP30 both geared to 4.56 with 35" BFG's and really like the way my rig works.
Sounds good to me! I've got my work cut out for me.
Got me a second job to support my jeep funds. It's advanced auto so the discount will come in handy as well
LOL, nice!
Anyone with 4.5" lift and 35s, post some pics so I can get to planning! Lift shall be ordered in 2 weeks.
Looks good! Now I'm excited
Didn't last long at advanced auto haha so now I'm down to one job. This means I'm broke again! So, junkyard lift it is! Getting t bird springs for the front, zj v8 coils for the rear, and since I have yj shcks already, I only need 95 f150 shocks for the rear.
Currently looking at some threads and they have me debating on ordering new coils for the rear. Maybe just get the tbird springs for right now and see how much the current zj springs will lift the rear. Call me crazy, but I love piecing together builds like this instead of buying a complete kit.
Search on this site for F>R or front to rear lift. ZJ springs are the same diameter front and back, and the fronts are longer. I don't remember right off hand how much lift the front springs net in the rear, but I think it's something like 3 1/2" or so. Then just get new or used springs for the front. I've also heard that F150 coils work for ZJ fronts and are longer but since I haven't been looking for it I am not certian. I do believe that they are a stiffer spring rate, so that may affect your decision.
Good luck with the build!
Thanks for the info! I'm going to but some t bird springs ($40) and go from there
Bought another zj for parts and will be parting it out as well so check the classifieds!
