haha oh man. I can't believe it's been so long since I read that for the first time.

Got the steering box swapped out. The frigging reman unit had paint on all the threads and splines which I had to clean off. The 4 mounting hole threads bound up so bad that I couldn't tighten the bolts. Had to pull it back out and chase the threads. Pain in the arse...

Also installed new extended rear sway bar links and new sway bar bushings. One less rattle to listen to. With that done I think I have replaced all the rubber/wear items on the jeep's suspension.



Last project to do is new motor mounts, might tackle that next week.

Wow, it has been over a year since I updated my build thread.

Well since my last post I have done the following:

• Replaced the motor and trans mounts.
• Installed 245/70R17 tires.
• Corrected my speedometer with a SpeedoDRD module. (used this writeup, also found this video)
• Got hit on the highway by a driver changing lanes and not checking their blind spot. New header panel (grill support) and some zip ties and I was back on the road.
• Got hit by a hail storm doing $3500 of damage to the WJ (but they didn't total it).
• Bought a winch, but haven't installed it.
