If you read my build thread you'll know all the details but here is the info important to my question.

    93zj 4.0
    98 dodge 60s

In order to get the brakes working right i picked up a dodge 3/4 ton can master and a booster from a 96 grand Cherokee. They bolt together and to my firewall, but the van master does not fit on my 93 booster. The problem i have is there in a sensor on my 93 booster that i can trace back to my abs computer(its a separate computer in ob1 systems). The abs is in the way of doing a shock/coilover tower so ill need to relocate it if i even find a way to keep it.

I did a lot of searching to get the van master and booster fitment but it looks like that was either for abs delete or obd2 systems.

Is there a master that will fit on my 93 booster? By the time i elongate the holes on the van master they just be open slots.

Has anyone relocated abs on their obd1 zj?
    93zj build. 4.0 aw4, 231, 60s, and 37s. Some cutting and some welding.

Not OBD1 but I deleted the ABS on my '96. I didn't pull the hardware, just unplugged everything and the relays/fuses associated with the ABS circuit. Won't throw codes or cause idiot lights to light up with all the fuses and relays pulled.

Do the 60s have the tone rings for ABS? I really don't see any reason to keep ABS on a ZJ with bigger tires. ABS tone rings set the pulses for a stock size tire anyway, and without a full recalibration of the ABS system I don't feel that you're gaining anything. Might even make slow speed trail braking harder.

Good point i didn't think about having to recalibrate the system. I had mostly wanted to keep it for driving in mud and snow on hunting trips but it wouldn't be the first trick i had without it.

Dumped it on my 93, and now on my 04 when I did axle swaps. Not worth the headache.

I removed mine when I did the 44/8.8 swap. 98 so OBDII but I literally just cut the cables and yanked them out. My ABS light is still on but no problems. Will probably pull the whole system out one day.
