well. this weekend was the time for paint.

Why paint if it was already white?

I did lots of sheet metal work that left bare metal. And the factory white doesn't match the white from powder coating. Plus. It's 20 year old paint.

No new updates. Almost moved out of our house. In 1 week I should be able to get back to finishing this thing.

Decided to go with 5.13 gears and ARBs front and rear.

i got the belly skid brackets fabbed and installed

So when are you going to sell these?
Rails, ca mounts and cross member kit out of this would be freaking awesome!
I would buy some for the Dub!

eventually i will get around to making the fixtures for these to sell as a kit.

i want to get into the new house first.

we are all moved to our temp home whiel our house is being built. I had a chance to finish the exhaust.


Nice to have some space around the truck...even though work is 40 min away from home.

this hanger ties into the factory rubber exhaust mount on the tranny x member.








i made this little bracket using the 2 factory hanger bolt holes in the rear. We had a mold for this gromet......very handy.....

So I sent the truck to geared customs for arbs and gears and I was informed the housing was quite bent front to back. There was about 1" of toe in on the rear.

I pulled the housing and built a cradle then put it in the press.







I managed to get it straight withing 0.030"

No more toe in



Time to get the arbs and gears in.

I got some more progress on the small stuff.
Intake tube gets a mount finally.




A custom gromit for a vibration mount.



And finally I got the viair compressor mounted. I'm running out of room under the hood. It would be a lot easier if I didn't keep the AC or cruse control.

so 5.38 gears and ARB's installed.

I did just apply for personlised lisence plates. I went for "thuglfe" thuglife lol.

went out for an alignment. should have it back tomorrow. i have to build a rear bumper because now that its insured and drivable i dont want to get hassled by the cops.
