the ones i used are a sanitary/food tri clamp. I would not recommend them.
Vibrant has proper exhaust ones that are much more user friendly. I used these cause i had access to them. but i had to make my own copper gasket for them.
I got the rear bumper designed. Not to sure why i waited so long.
here is is with the rest of the suspension in it. you will be able to see the cantilever set-up quite nicely.
and yes. the rear has a warn M8000 winch in it. and its still smaller than the factory rear bumper.
I need to figure out a spare tire mount and mud flat mounts before i start to bend tube.
Cut the bottom corners off your hatch. It gives you a few more options for adding strength to the sides.
I would post a pic of mine but it will not allow me to post attachments.
I think I missed it, but did you go with some 99 - 04 superduty axles?
I'm pumped the superduty 60 fit that well, that's the combo I'm planning on going to if my 30 8.8 start breaking from the turbo
Here it is. Water jet and tig welded
Front and rear winch. Front and rear Arb lockers. Off-road lights. Heated seats.
Awesome build!! Wanna make another switch panel? Great work.
I can make a bunch of them if there is a demand.
Rear bumper started.
Sized to fit an m8000 winch. All 2" x 0.120" DOM and 3/16" plate.
So is this beast going to bless us with its presence at the 20th anniversary Gsw or are we just gonna stare at this juicy thread till next year?

ya i can make em. i was going to get a bunch cut and powder coated. $45 each
well i'm going to bite the bullet and do a swing out tire carrier. i think the fold down would be way stronger, but it will be a pain in the ass to get stuff in and out of the back.
this is what i am thinking about with the mount.
What about swing up tire carrier using a garage door torsion spring...
just got the bumper back from Nic....all nice and white. Thanks!!! you really notice how dirty the truck is with rubber dust from being stored in the plant VS the shiny new powdercoated bumper.
its just slipped into the frame. not bolted yet. i have to get the winch in it first.
Then the rear coil overs can go back in and i can drive the damn thing!!!!
Sweet!!
Damn rigs looking great man!
This is some really impressive work, the body work is amazing. I am debating on building something similar with a WJ. I would like to do 40's though and I am in PA where we legally have to cover the tires.
This is looking awesome!
I'd be interested in a switch panel.
well the trucks finally home.
i'm still sorting out the steering pump issues..and i'm having a front drive shaft built.
in the mean time i have done a stereo install. JL C2-650x door speakers and a JL 10W3V2 sub.
i have heard about "sound rings" in the past they are supposed to seal your door panel to the body of the door to direct the sound into the vehicle. They claim that without them sound will reverb into the door panels and kill your midbass. well i decided to make some my self and WOW a HUGE improvement on the sound. I was skeptical but i ran the speakers with and without the foam rings and it is a massive improvement.
its just a 1" foam ring.
