It is Purdy as it sits but so begins the era of the dub jay

Nice, what do you have planned for it?
Sweet!
Awesome! I have a dana 30 with 4.56s, JKS tie rod, and JKS track bar if you want it. Needs everything gone through as far as bushings, tie rod ends, and ball joints. Might even have some JKS discos.
Tyler has a Spartan locker for the 44A for sale too.
We will get u fixed up in no time.
The idea is to put as much of the non-ZJ specific stuff from the ZJ on it (including the 44/9") then go from there except I'm not sure about the full hydro don't get me wrong I love it on the trail but this one has some street life left in it, maybe I'll do assist to get the best of both!

Nice so your getting rid of the zj then i assume? getting rid of the long arms? ill take them if you are
Fortunately the f/r long arms and axles will swap over but I will have some nice high clearance bumpers and sliders for sale among other stuff

We saw it at the Loco in Fruita before he finished the deal - it looks to be a solid Dub. No issues Scott or I could easily find. Super clean.
Pulled the third from the 9" that I broke at GSW to check to see if there was any more damage and seems ok so I'm going to use the best of both thirds and make one good one hopefully!

Was that a standard third member you broke?
How'd you break it?
sent from my phone.
Yes it was the 40+ year old stock case! I was on a ledge hopped a little and bam the pinion came right out the side!
no real signs of impact maybe just a hairline crack or the perfect amount of torque and hop haven't seen this to often!

Alright, as I'm slowly building my 9 I can get an idea of issues people have had but so far it just seems to be the standard 3rd member that's the problem

Stock shafts seem to also be a weak point as well so alloys are the way to go!

So today I pulled off the shiny cover to measure things to begin the bumper build
I found some damage
I think I'm getting the build bug...
A little bit more on the front bumper
Recessed the cross brace

I'll try to put up more later.
Got a bit more done today
Maybe some more done this weekend I hope.😃
That is the plan.
the bottom is all open and I still have to cut the winch fair lead hole and as you can see the winch mount is slanted up(only the side brackets) to open more as well. I'll have to get more pics of the underside when I get home
That was mocking the winch setting so I knew what I was working with
Thanks for the input cause I don't have any over here! More is welcome!

This is what the bottom openings look like
Do you think I need more?
A few more pics of progress
Still need to cut holes for the lights but it should be done tomorrow!
Looks like enough openings to let air into the lower radiator.
