Got my new welder. Snap on 250SL, its leaps and bounds better that the flux core welder I had before. Now all I need is gas and to wire it up! I should have it wired this weekend! I know its probably over kill for what I will use it for but ehh. What are yalls thoughts on this mig?

Damn! Talk about a big welder haha. Guess it really doesn't matter how big as long as you plan on using it a shit ton, which I'm sure you will. But anyways, nice welder! You'll love using gas once you get it, unless you've used it before. I did flux core for a while with my Hobart, but once I finally got gas (and used it for the first time ever), my welds were turning out so much better.

Thx jfowlz! Never welded with anything but flux core. Folks tell me that it will be a lot less clean up. I'm all for that!

I love my Hobart with gas. My Lincoln was flux and the difference is night and day. Only reason I still have it is for trail repairs I can run it off my generator.

I do recommend getting the 2nd size bottle. The smallest runs out to fast. Where I get my gas it is only a little more to fill the bigger bottle and lasts a lot longer. Happy welding

Was going to get the largest bottle they make for it. Thx for the good feedback!

I've had the mm250 for 20 years.. Love it. Easy to set and welds beautifully.. Though it's semi retired, as I only use it for stainless. Which is a production job when I use it. You're going to like it more & more as you use it..
