Ted, this unit is stupid simple to use. It comes with step by step instructions. I have one, works great.

Buy it online if they can't help you at your local store.
Well I ordered two Glass Mount Antennas from Wal Mart to pick up at my local store Friday (3/21/14) one for the Jeep and one for the Motor Home and I plan to move the CB Unit back and forth between them, so if this is as simple as you say with step by step instructions I guess even I could not go wrong. I could keep it in the Motor Home and if anyone at GSW wanted to check their gear it would be there for them to use.

Yeah I guess this means I will order one in a couple minutes as I have to have a good strong signal in case my SKIM Module shuts me down while out on a trail. LOL

Thanks Ron, good to hear from you.

    Ted,
I'd take a look at getting a CB for each vehicle. It'd be a PITA to move it back and forth all the time. I thought about that for moving it between my tow rig and the ZJ, but found a basic Cobra at Wal-Mart for like $30 and run that in both vehicles.

What trails do you guys recommend for me? I have been to Moab a few times but the only "trails" i have been on are Gemini Bridges and Long Canyon.

Dome Plateau on Saturday would be a fun one, really neat area up there with some amazing scenery and a fun drive up Hwy 128. I would kinda tag along with recon zj if I were you, I believe he's bringing his WK2 out this year as well and is a Moab vet.
Glad you decided to join us, esports15! And yes, I'm bringing the WK2 CRD this year. I'm not planning to do anything difficult this year, but most likely the scenic ones.

Well I have been switching between my tow rig and the ZJ for three years and except for the shitty Antenna's it has worked okay for me, but I can always add a 2nd one if I feel the need. I very rarely use it except when out wheeling in the ZJ, but I thought it might be nice to move it into t he Motor Home now and again.

I forgot I also have a couple hand units that I bought for the Grandsons to use when they travel with me in the Motor Home.

Esport - I see you don't currently have rocker protection. This is fine if you only want to run the easier trails, but Moab can make you want to be a little more adventurous. You might want to consider adding rocker protection before GSW just in case.

Is it a big deal to miss the first day of this event? I have submitted my registration and paid the fees but I will not be able to make it to Moab until Thursday night.

You'll be just fine. We only recently added Thursday as an official day of the event, and in the past many people still didn't arrive until even Friday night. It is still absolutely worth coming down. If you're staying at the Redstone Inn it will be very easy to find us all. If not, I'd head down there shortly after you get into town. We're not too hard to find, almost always some of us at the Redstone or at Moab Brewery.

Yeah we will be staying at the Red Stone. The brewery is one of my favorite places down there!

We usually congregate in their outside patio area, or use someone's trailer as our own patio, wherever the beer is really.
