Who is up for a run on Sunday June 23rd?
Not sure what yet. I am keeping an eye on other reports to see what is open. Suggestions?

Keith, I'm up for anything. We should have had lots of melt these last few days, but the 23rd is almost 2 weeks out. If it's open by then, something like Sts John may be fun.
I am in. Just gotta convince the girl.
St John's might be good. I have wheeled before and after it but not St John's itself in a few years. I like the top of the world kind of trails anyway. Keep and eye on the reports. The heat just may burn off the snow.
If we want to keep it close then BML is open.
I am tracking Wheeler Lake but think that one will have to wait until the the 30th or so.
BML?

Bill Moore Lake
So far no reports on Saints John on BushDucks. I am going to call the ranger station on Thursday to see what the area looks like.
I am actually on the same page about Wheeler if its open.
I'm good with Wheeler too.
OK, I did some more checking
I called the Dillon Ranger Dist and St Johns, Red Cone, Radical Hill, Webster etc are still closed and should be a couple more weeks. They did say North Fork and Peru Creek are open.
I also checked and Bush Docks has two reports that Wheeler Lake is open but could be muddy in areas. Likely the river crossing and the stretch to the lake. I Vote Wheeler Lake. Who's in? This is literally my favorite trail in CO.
One more update, I read a post on CO4x4 and it has conflicting information. The group did make it to the lake, but its not entirely clear if they did cross the snow bank at the top of bowling ball hill or bypass it via the tundra. I am not at all interested in going off trail to get to the lake. A post from a trip the following day suggests that crossing the snow bank is not likely. Who knows, I would hope that this week will get enough melting to solidify going across the snow bank. Or it may be a challenge to turn a group around at the top of BBH.
If my buddy in his buggy goes with us, we should have no issues getting across any snow bank that's up there.
I'd say we're about an 75% chance that we're in at this point. I have some stuff I need to get done around the house before we go, hoping I can get that stuff done Thursday on my day off.
Sounds good to me. I was thinking we should be able to get someone across if we do encounter a snow bank. If no buggy then I am willing to give it a shot anyway. I am thinking of wearing boots.

Mmmmm....Wheeler....
Also one of my favorite trails in CO. Count me as tentative.
Meh...the wifey is going to Discunt tomorrow, and the Heep drives to the trails on this side of Vail Pass
We will be taking 285 so you are good.
Works for me!
I am still in.

I'm still in too.
From reading the post on CO4x4, it sounds like one group did bash or winch thru the drift and stayed on the trail. It should be a challenge!
