Really cool on the bumper Jim!

Me, first need to look at my ZJ and build the list.
i do know that I want to et a trail run together on a road by Gateway, CO on the 30th of this month. That will probably help me start my list.

    1. Replace headlights with bone yard salvaged units and bracket tabs.

There is no rear axle under my Jeep.

    Finnish rear L/A's
    Rear shocks
    tranny fluid/filter
make sure brake lines are ling enough and secure
    build skidplate
    build cargo containment system

If all of the above gets done, build 9" and install 4.56 gears in front.

    BTW I need either a 17" 5 on 5 wheel or a 35" tire for a 16" wheel.

Shakedown run before last WKND in April would be nice.

Option A: Do nothing but drive to Moab.
    Option B:
    - Install new F track bar
    - Swap in 231
    - ReGear F/R axles
    - Install front ARB locker
    - Replace trans mount

    Option A is looking good!

Ted_Z get a baby food grinder. Not sure if this is your first or if you know about these but they are fantastic as you get your young one off liquid onto solids. I try to point these out to every newborn parent I see.

On the must do list on my WJ is a new radiator. Then maybe build a rear bumper.

We are thinking about bringing Kyle's WJ. His will need sliders first. Well see.

Put about 70 miles on the Jeep today driving it around town. Most everything seems to be working really well right now. Few small things to get done, but the junkyard t-case is doing great. Most miles I've put on my ZJ in one day without it breaking in a LOOOONG time.

While I am under there and in a pile o oil it will be the perfect time to chenge the tranny fluid and filters.

Seems like my wife's 01 was about 6-7 quarts for pan drop and filter replace, but it is also a 4.0L.

My list just got longer after bending my rear driveshaft yesterday on a ledge climb.

    Swap in SYE 231
Rotate rear axle yoke up towards t-case
Measure length for new slip drive shaft and calc for full droop and full stuff
Check brother's "extra" DC driveshafts and if no-go, order replacement drive shaft
Check clearance on ledges before climing going forward...

SYE is in, still need to get the fluid in and attach the lever and electronics and then get the rear upper adjustable control arms in, spin the rear diff up, and get a driveshaft figured out.

Adding HPOP o-rings and plug on the tow rig...dropped a c-note tonight on parts, and grabbing the line disconnect tool from Dave in the next week or so.

Cap/Rotor, air filter (Amsoil one is getting nasty despite cleaning, plus some blow-by) - DONE

Friggin list grows like my kid

I put the new radiator in this weekend. What a pain in the ass. I went ahead and put in new radiator hoses, new transmission cooler lines, new cap and serpentine belt. Considering the new water pump and thermostat I did last year, I have a completely new cooling system.

Basically I am ready for GSW. Now to prep Kyle's WJ with sliders and a front diff cover. Not sure if we will be ready for his or not. Lots of travel for me between now and June.

By the way did I mention the radiator was a pain in the ass?

It was a good weekend to wrench.

Finally replaced my bent driver's side 8.8 shaft. It was nice to see that the splines were straight after a season on 37's.

Fluid change for the 231. I like to do that often now and look for metal and/or plastic bits after going through a few mode forks. I have been running Mobil1 5W-30 in the T-case now. Got that tip online and from the local transmission shop.

Replaced my leaky thermostat. Easy job.

Last on the list, still need to replace my worn track bar bushing, but don't we all.
