If you haven't finished the bumper yet i would look into recessing it into the front sheet metal and trimming the grill. A little more work for a better approach angle.
X2 with what bentwrench said. I did mine first as close as I could get without recessing it and hated it after about a month. Even with 42s I would hit it on steep climbs.
How did you manage to do that?
headlights cut out i pulled over onto the shoulder turns out was a sink hole that front bar is the only thing that stopped me from a full roll over
Whoa! That's some bad luck. That's kinda cool you didn't go all the way over. Did anything get broken on your rig?
smashed rocker bent drag link and now the jeep is siting a inch lower on that corner and everything looks fine so i need to barrow a spring and see it that got messed up
That sucks! Swap them side to side.
was just thinking that after i posted that ill do it tomorrow and see if thats it ill order some new iro springs
What all ended up being bent from your little trip into the ditch besides the drag link? Did you end up screwing up a spring? I hit a rock pretty hard snow wheeling a long time ago and bent the axle side lower control arm mount on one side, took a bit to find it. Your Jeep looks like it's sitting right now, that's why I ask.
o i forgot to update on that so that front upper joint on the body got blown out and bent the snap rings and the side out so i bent it back for now waiting on johnny joints to swap them all out
Makes sense. Thanks for letting us know what happened!
ok so i have a question i have a chance to get a set of wagoner dana 44s axles for almost nothing think it would be worth my time im never going bigger then 37s for the way i want to set my ring up
well a set of wagoneer dana 44s have been given to me for free so i think thats what will be going under the jeep
Nice!
