    well I would like to say stroker time but its just not in the budget right now so im going to have a local guy re due the bottom end and stick it back in.
    The question is now do i have the trans gone through while its out hmmmmm

    If the trans wasnt giving you issues and the fluid looks good, I wouldnt worry about having it re-done. I have 180K on mine and its still going strong. I would just do a simple fluid and filter change, along with adjusting the bands.

    Well that should fix the miss!! Turns out motor was allot worse than I thought! Bearings and cam were pretty bad and took 30 over to clean up cylinders but good to go now!!

    wow man. I can imagine how ripped you were to get the head on and have to start all over. Ive been there before with a bigblock chevy motor i had done. S-ton of money out of pocket too. Glad to see where this is going. looking forward to updated pics

    Got the lift installed today iron rock 4 inch basic kit, its all i could afford after everything else, long arms later lol
    Did a nice little test drive today and it drove pretty well, got back to shop and ac line went pop hisss. Figures!!
    Auto bone and Oreiles do not carry that line it goes from acumulater to compressor over alt in front of motor

    well as with everything else on this thing my 242 took a crap so after much research and some conversation with jb conversions I bit the bullite and ordered a 231 HD
    it came in today

    I'm digging this thread. It looks like you've had some pretty bad luck. You've already replaced the motor, trans, and now TC? I guess axles are next to explode but I hope not, for your sake.

    Yea its been a money pit and I have never as of yet even had it off road to abuse it and rear axle was replaced with a Dana 44A cuz the 35 was making all sorts of bad noises has new bearings and trussed

    and the 35 has new seals bearings and cv axles which one of the boots has a hole in with less than 1000 miles on it auto bone crap!!!!

    The input shaft on that 231 looks too short for the WJ. Maybe just the angle of the pic. Did you compare it to your old 242?
