Getting out of the sport for a while, the ZJ just doesn't suit my needs anymore. It currently needs a transmission as I smoked the one in it, it's not mobile at all it will need to be trailered. You can hear it run and could use the winch to winch it onto a trailer if need be. I have put a ton of money into this over the last 6 months or so, but it's just not in the cards to hang on to it. I am still looking for a transmission, if I find one and fix it myself the price will go up by a good bit. As it sits, $4400, willing to negotiate a bit. I probably have close to that in it this year alone.
1998 ZJ, 4.0, 42RE, 242. ~160k miles on body. This was originally a Laredo SE, so it has the color-matched body panels. It has pretty much every option, full power leather (no rips or tears), PW/PD/PL, infinity sound, etc. JVC mp3 head unit, Pioneer 5.25" speakers in front door, 6.5" Alpine Type S' in back doors. DEI remote start system integrated with power locks. I have all maintenance records since I've owned it (~5 1/2 years, since 74k miles) and receipts for most of the big ticket items (motor build, long arms, winch, etc). I believe I am only the second owner.
Drivetrain:
Built 4.0.: ~20-25k miles, built by More Power Inc in Sparta, MI (http://www.morepowerinc.com/)
-stock CR & bottom end, all bearings & seals replaced
-comp cams 68-232-4 (http://www.compperformancegroupstore...ode=A6CAMSx4X4)
-3 angle valve grind
-99+ intake manifold, gasket matched
-60mm throttle body
-Banks header-gasket matched, high flow cat, FM50
-double roller timing chain
-flowkooler water pump, single row all aluminum radiator
-Seen nothing but Amsoil Premium Protection 10w40 since break in. Was broke in using comp cams break in additive and 20w Valvoline conventional per More Power's recommendation
HP30: ~6k miles since swapped in
-4.56s OE Dana gears
-open diff
-alloy usa outer axle seals
-XRF ball joints
Ford 8.8: less than 1k miles since installed (done by Marc @ Overland)
-4.56 Yukon gears
-Aussie Locker
-Iron Rock Offroad Bracket Kit
-Disc Brakes (brand new calipers, rotors and pads when installed)
-ECGS Forged 1310 u-bolt yoke
242 t-case: ~25k since new chain, all internals were inspected by qualified driveline shop while apart. Linkage was rebuilt last fall, maybe 10k miles ago
Suspension:
~4.5 of lift, trimmed front fenders
-Teraflex springs
-Claytons offroad front long arms with only around 150 miles since they were installed
-Adjustable short arms in the rear (Rubicon Express I think)
-JKS trackbars F&R, front is KOR double shear conversion
-Bilstein 10" travel 5150s up front, RE monotubes out back
Tires:
-285/70/17 BF Goodrich KM2s mounted on 17x8 steel D-windows with ~3.5-4" of BS. Maybe 25k miles on them but they have a ton of tread left. Also have 33x12.50 spare on wagon wheel.
Armor:
-JCR Offroad stage 2 sliders
-Clayton Offroad T-Case Skid
-Protofab front winch bumper w/ Engo E9000s (synthetic line, has 0 pulls on it). 2 ProComp stainless lights on it also.
-JCR 1-Ton Steering, UTK
-4 bolt waggy steering box
-Rusty's offroad gas tank skid
Known issues:
-Minor rust on the front of the hood and the bottom of the lift gate. I did grind it down and repaint it but some still remains. The paint on the hood is faded and peeling just a bit.
-Transmission (as mentioned). The current transmission does have a deep aluminum trans pan on it that would be worth saving and I have a trans temp gauge that I never got around to installing that can go with.
I also have a set of WJ knuckles that can go with but I don't have the brakes or any of the other swap parts
Here is the link to my build thread that has a ton of pictures.

If you have questions ask. You can call me directly if you want, PM me for my phone number.
Last chance before I pull the transmission and raise the price.
$4,000 FIRM
Current pictures. The clayton skid isn't show as I took it off to try to diagnose some problems with the current transmission, but it will be included.
It's a shame your not closer.
Trans is in, everything is working like it should. Need to connect the t-case shift linkage, install the front driveshaft and skid plate and she'll be ready to go. It's up for sale on CL for $6400 (which is high I know), but I am heavily discounting it here and on the local NM board, I'd really like to see it go to someone who will take care of it.

Also forgot, the valve body from my old transmission will be included, all of the sensors and solenoids in it are practically new and it has also been modified with a shift kit.

As of today 6 fresh quarts of Amsoil 10w40, transfer case linkage is hooked up and front drive shaft is in. As soon as I get my garage cleaned up the skid plate will go on. I put about 70 miles on it yesterday, everything is working well.

Put another 70 miles or so on it Saturday. Had a small leak in one of the transmission cooler lines that I fixed. I did notice a small coolant leak from the thermostat housing the other day. I will fix it if I have the time (pretty sure it just needs to be resealed), but it's not leaking much fluid and hasn't affected the operating temp a bit.
