We drove Kyle's WJ and met Ken, his friend Stewart in a YJ and Dan with his K5 at the park n ride lot off I70 and Morrison Road exit.

This was Kyle's maiden wheeling trip in his Dub. It did great, no funny noises or rubbing.

We ran Kingston from the Alice side to avoid Sunday afternoon I70 traffic.

Kingston is a simple trail but usually delivers with interesting sites like the trees and the rock house, not to mention some great views all around. Sunday was no exception, but add in some interesting weather and it made for a fun afternoon. It seemed like we had all four seasons in one day. Sun, rain, snow (sleet n hail actually). It rained pretty hard as we hit the overlook and cliff shelf portions. Lightning struck what seemed like less than a 100 yards from our Jeep. Loud thunder as a result and it made the hair on the back of my neck stand attention.

It was interesting that most of the individual Jeeps we saw were WJs in various build levels. Also a large Wranger group that I think had something to do with the Mile Hi Jeep Club.

Ken, Dan and Stewart forked left near the end of the trail to head towards Rollinsville while Kyle and I headed toward Apex. We grabbed a quick pizza in Central City on the way home. Nice day with some good folks.

    Keith

Yeah, Keith another great day on the trail. I know Stu has a bazillion pictures, I'll get some from him and post them up. He still had hail in his YJ when we got done with our burger at the Stage Stop.

Only one "oops". I forgot to turn on the electric fan when we used my OBA to air up. It may have burped a little coolant in the parking lot in Rollinsville before I realized what was happening.

Guilty on the no pics.. Kyle needs to find a host site for the 18mp pic files.

So thinking ahead to next weekend. Is St Johns safe to run without sliders? Its been awhile since I ran it?

How much memory does that camera have? He still has pics and video from OCG that I'm waiting to see, which was before all the ones from GSW.

All I have to say is Dave was right. On Red Cone I finnished off a tire and thought I would "baby" them to make them last.
I was wrong. Instead of going so far the week I wanted to do Iron Chest we stayed close and did Kingston. Towars the C. City end of the trail I ended up with 2 plugs in a sidewall. No more wheeling for me for a while. We will see what happens later-Y'all have fun!!

No he doesn't need that. He needs to resize them to a reasonable size & upload them to photobucket. I use Faststone photo resizer. It's free. http://www.faststone.org/FSResizerDetail.htm
