I can get a "free" room over at Holiday inn express using my points during GSW, but since its "high season" it cost 25,000 points/night instead of 15,000/night. Looks like RedStone is booked for Wednesday and Thursday nights. Friday and Saturday are still open. I wanted to stay where the cool kids hang out.

Should I hold out for redstone, split the nights or blow all my points for the free nights?

Is the big horn across the street booked? That seems to be close proximity to cool kids.

And IIRC it's owned by the same people? At least they told us we were allowed to use the hot tub at Red Stone when we stayed at Big Horn years back.

Yup, same people. I think there's 1 or 2 other properties they own in town as well.

Redstone is only $85/night. I'll ask to see if I can get the same rate accross the street. FYI the HIEx is $170/night, but hey you get breakfast. I guess I am just wondering out loud if I should pony up $350 and save my points for another trip.

I'd say save your points. But that's just me.

...and just his luck tomorrow morning Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) will discontinue the ‘points’ program.

I say use ‘em. You never know what tomorrow will bring.
