I rubbed a tiny hole in my power steering line again. I don't want to replace it with another stock one, because word is I might be going hydro assist if I can ever make up my mind on a set of axles. I'd like to convert the pressure line to JIC fittings from the pump to the box, same as the hydro assist lines will be. Do you guys know what size the threads are on the pump pressure side and the box pressure side?
Thanks
I've tried calling PSC multiple times and keep getting the f'ing voicemail.
For future reference, the high pressure line coming out of the Saginaw pumps is 16 x 1.5 mm and going into the steering box is 18 x 1.5 mm. The low pressure fitting coming out of the box is 16 x 1.5 mm. All are o-ring style fittings. Apparently this is how Saginaw has done it since the 70's to prevent you from accidentally hooking things up backwards.
so there boss fittings? are they flared or no?
Yes it's a boss fitting with a flare to hold the o-ring. These are the type of adapters I need though
Make sure you use steel adapter fittings and not aluminum.
