If that's the spot I think (the left turn off the shelf road before the rock garden) that line didn't even exist a few years back.

Yeah that looks like the old "switchback". Not too long ago you had to actually drive past it, make a several point turn, and then head up it.

I don't know why he kept putting those there my issue was lack of gearing to crawl without stalling the converter ,and my solution was a running start ...And I kept driving higher up the rock to avoid his stacking job...lol...but his stacking was not extreme or trail altering ,and that line is hardly used ,as quick youtube reference will show this line denies most .

Many still do that , but with this XJ you can simply turn left and run up since it's rolling on 40's and has a ton of travel/unsprung weight so no need to do multi point turns to line up for approach angle or stability ...It's like a Weeble...lol

I wasn't saying that as in "Only cool rigs on 40's can go up there" - more as in "Look at all the folks going up the illegal route, but no one knows it because everyone has fucked it up".

I have seen video dating 3 yrs old from 2008 of this 3rd obstacle looking this way, What do you consider " not too long ago" , Because in my book 3 years is a fairly long time .

If you think folks are unkowingly off trail you could ...consult with forest service to determine what is ...CURRENTLY...ON TRAIL...then go put up signs instead of comming in a thread beating around the bush ...

EXAMPE a post taken from you posting in my Chinaman's thread... ArloGuthrojeep wrote- "Is the tree on the drivers side of the rock garden completely gone now?

Comming in threads beating around the bush does not give info it simply looks like a jealous whiny hater ...For now on I'll just reference you as "BUCK NASTY'...lol

    Jealous whiney hater? Lulz.

If you've spent any time at all working with the FS or the BLM on things like this you would know that educating individuals in a scenario like this is far more effective. The first time I ran Spring Creek was back in 02 and the trail is substantially different than it is now because of people creating new routes to meet the capabilities of their rig, both easier and more difficult. When you're on a trail, it can be difficult to determine what is the proper route and what routes have been user created. The onus really is on the users to determine what is correct. If you're interested in helping out, check out the Colorado Trail Patrol and Stay The Trail.

That question in the Chinaman thread was exactly that, a question. Quit reading too much into it.

It is your responsibility to know what is on trail

FYI, it was between 2006 and 2007 that a huge chunk of that corner was removed. So "not too long ago" would be 4-5 years ago in this case.

So in 06-07 a huge chunk of the corner was removed ,So if removed then I would be inclined to guess the trail was widened ,And this would be the reason it's changed in a major way ,And not folks driving off trail on this obstacle . Now if I'm off trail in the video ,and you know this for fact then tell me just that , As I have no reason to break the rules on a trail just to find a challenge ,as there are plenty trails to offer it within the rules , But I find it hard to beleive it's off trail since it's hard to see some red necks drinking PRR easily moving 1000lb granite boulders much less that large granite slab that is part of the hill side on the left .
