97' ford f250 hd 7.3 diesel
!
nice!
slap an 17* HPOP, intercooler, 4" downpipe and chip on that thing and rock it out. at least i think that gen still didn't get the 17* hpop or intercooler. could be wrong, been a while since I spent a lot of time on the PSD forums.
no I think I will just keep it stock cause I want it to last a long time and it's my puller/workhorse (I have my 5.0 Mustang for my speed rush!).
call me old fashioned but I think it should stay close to the way it was made however I do have a K&N cold air and 3.25 pipe to help the flow.

285's? tires? gears?
Nice truck i have always liked the older style fords , and the 7.3's are bullet poof. I have a 03 6.0 SD love that truck pulls like a freight train.
I realize this is like 3 months later, but, i have 285 tires on the 250.
As far as the mods I suggested, most of what I advised for you are towing improvement mods. The HPOP and intercooler came from ford 2 years later anyway. You'll get substantially more power and useability out of the truck with them. reliability wise neither the chip nor the downpipe will hurt that 7.3, your tranny might suffer but it will explode every 6 months regardless of what's pushing it.....because it's an automatic. and that's what automatics do.
I may do some of those mods in the future but for now I'll just do some basic rebuild stuff.
So now we have a new (to me) tow rig!

Not sure what that means but it's been taken care of by an older couple since it was a year old.
Because Jeep.
Cool thanks and I will check into that!
